A fun piece of sporting jewelry depicting a crossed pair of croquet mallets and a coral ball inside the wicket. The banded agate stone is black with a single white line and has never been engraved. Croquet became fashionable among the English elite in 1856 when when the first book of croquet rules was published and the All England Croquet Club was formed at Wimbledon. This finely detailed charm measures 5/8" across, it weighs 1.2 grams and it is stamped Kr14 ITALY on the undecorated back which has never had a monogram or initials. A fine Victorian 14K gold fob locket, the front cover worked in a deeply three dimensional design of a rose gold owl perched on a green gold branch. The eyes are set with garnet cabochons. The back cover has an engraved shield design that was never monogrammed. The hinged bail is engraved in a complimentary design. The interior of the locket retains its original frame and glass insert.

An 18K tri-color gold ring in the inconic "Double C" motif by Cartier, with a stack of yellow, white and rose gold bands terminating in yellow gold C's at the opening. The interior is marked with Cartier's signature, the serial number "F95043", and the design date "1997".

A 14Kt white gold filigree ring from the 1920’s, centered by a 16 X 12 millimeter bezel set oval green onyx intaglio depicting a Roman head. The filigree work is in great condition. The ring is a size 6 ½ and it can easily be sized.

This 14Kt tricolor asymmetric retro ring is topped by an approximately 0.35Ct bezel set old-mine diamond, and a field of eight angle cut natural rubies. The bezel surrounding the diamond is white gold, the section holding the four square and two triangle cut rubies is pink gold, while the rest of the ring is yellow gold. The ring is a size 10 and can easily be sized.

A pair of Victorian rolled gold plate dangle drop earrings from the 1890s. These well-made hollow 1-3/4 x 1/2" earrings have an applied bow and four swinging drops each. They are screw-backs and they are unsigned. The backs are rose gold coloured and the earring itself is yellow gold and they may be the original backs (screwbacks were introduced in 1894). This lovely pair is in excellent condition with no cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs...

A large cabochon of Baltic amber with a deep, nicely distributed color is mounted within a sterling floral surround; the mounting has a closed back. The amber exhibits hardly any wear. The back has a working original rollover clasp as well as the maker’s mark of Niels Erik From of Denmark. The pin measures about 1 5/8 inches across.

Modernist cufflinks made up of eight little geometrically arranged cylinders. Made by Isaac Cohen, Stockholm and marked ICO, S:t Erik’s head (the hallmark for Stockholm), R9 = year mark for 1967, three crowns and S indicating the Swedish silver standard of the time = 830/1000. Width "1 / 2.8 cm. Condition: fine.

RARE OFFERING:Copper and brass "CROWN OF THORNS" necklace by Art Smith, NYC modernist, c.1960. Necklace shows a contrast of metals and sizes. The base is a copper neck ring from which brass sticks and balls jut out at various lengths. The copper neck ring is made of 6 hinged moveable sections. Although unsigned, this necklace has been verified as made by Art Smith. A more complicated version appears in Messengers of Modernism on page 94 and on the cover...

A well crafted, hand wrought curved link necklace with a central pendant in sterling silver by Cape Cod gold and silversmith, Ross Coppelman. Marked Coppelman and Sterling. This is one of his early pieces before he starting working with gold and precious gems.

The lightly hammered necklace measures about 18" around, hard to get an exact measurement due to the shape and curvature of the links...

This sterling silver necklace of faces and fleur-de-lys has a European feel and is designed in the Renaissance Revival style most associated with Peruzzi. It does not bear a maker’s mark, but the spring-ring clasp is marked as sterling, and the various elements test definitively for silver. Circa 1890 diamond crescent moon that was originally a brooch. The brooch findings have been removed, and a modern chain has been added to make it a necklace. The moon is 18k yellow gold and has 25 Old Mine Cut diamonds that graduate in size from approximately .01 ct up to .70 ct. The total weight of all 25 diamonds is approximately 6.5 cttw.
