Dating in the 1940s, this massive sterling silver and azur-malachite "mozaico Azteca" inlay pendant necklace is signed by Taxco maestro Jose Anton. I am more used to Anton's repousse work yet from time to time, I do come across some examples that feature overlay and, as in this case, stone inlay. What impresses me here is, of course, the generously sized pendant with its "warrior" silver inlay in profile as well as the detail of the eagle figure floating in the air next to it...

Fabulous early silver necklace with round and baguette paste stones, and a huge cut glass center pendant framed by paste stones. 1900 - 1920. Possibly French. Not marked but tests positive for sterling silver. With a dainty slide clasp also set with stones. The square link side chain is made to fall slightly to the sides so the stones on the chain are visible from either
side. From a Philadelphia estate.
A classic collectible Art Deco piece, and currently perfectly of the moment as well...

This ring would make a stunning and unique engagement ring!

A handsome pair of Victorian 14K yellow gold double-sided cufflinks, the faces set with cabochon agates. The variety of agate is called “landscape agate” because the colors and markings resemble painted landscapes. These particular stones suggest colorful sunsets behind wooded landscapes. The bezel settings are finished with fine millegraining. The connectors are marked 14K and have an unknown American maker’s mark.
Origin: America, ca. 1890. Condition: excellent. Size: 5/8” x 9/...

A charming miniature portrait, done in watercolor on natural wafer, and mounted in a later 14K gold ring with an impressed maker's mark of "MP". The sitter is a young red-haired child, facing left, and wearing a black dress with a dotted lace ruffled collar.
The ring size is 6 1/2, and the portrait measures 1 1/16" by 7/8". The condition of the portrait, as well as the ring, is excellent. The line near the left edge and along the top edge is due to refraction and does not appear when viewed in...
Modernist handmade necklace signed "SAM W. GRAVES STERLING", c.1950's. It combines an art deco and Native American feel in an interesting geometric chevron design. Not certain, but I believe that Sam Graves was a contemporary of Frank Patania and H. Fred Skaggs, working in the southwest. This hollow silver necklace shows a high degree of craftsmanship. There are 3 sections connected by a paper clip chain. The middle section measures 2 1/4" by 1". Each side section measures 1 7/8" by 3/4". The d...
