A fabulous antique garnet five strand beaded necklace with a garnet decorated slide clasp. Circa 1900, from a Philadelphia estate, and I also have listed a garnet hinged bangle from this same estate. The metal tests positive for 9KT gold with jeweler's acid. The large stones in the clasp are each about 5 mm in diameter, and the tiny stones are 2 mm. The garnet beads are each about 4 mm in diameter. Substantial at 112 grams; I counted 497 beads. Very wearable, for day or evening...

This is a superior piece of Victorian jewelry. The pin is 2 1/4" long and 11/16" wide. The bezel set onyx or black glass Cameo is 1" in diameter. Circa 1910. The gold filled mount is ribbon like with an intricate scroll design. There have been are no cracks, no repairs to this cameo or to the gold filled finding. This cameo pin is in excellent vintage condition .

The spot in the picture is the light refraction from the camera.

Very nice pair of Victorian 14K gold cufflinks in the Arts & Crafts or Aesthetic style. The simple engraved decoration of the gold faces, suggestive of a Celtic design, is typical of jewelry in the Aesthetic taste, as is the use of matrix gemstones such as turquoise. These stones were valued more for their appearance than for their intrinsic worth--another characteristic of Aesthetic jewelry. The back faces are plain gold. Tested and guaranteed 14K.
