Bearing the signature of maestro Barrera this carefully made figural brooch depicts a richly clad person, most probably a nobleman or priest, with hands forming a very distinct gesture as if he takes part in a ritual or is performing a dance. Barrera , I suspect, worked in Mexico City, and created some impressive jewelry in the style associated with it...

The pattern goes all the way around the bangle and appears to be random, giving it a quirky yet sophisticated look. It is marked sterling and dates around 1970 or earlier. A modernist pair of pierced earrings in 830 silver designed by Jorma Laine for Kultateollisuus, Ky of Turku Finland. These earrings feature a stylized face in a sun. The polished face is in contrast to the oxidized background. They measures about 3/4" wide.

A classic pair of Art Deco 18K gold and lapis cufflinks by Gaetan de Percin, the jeweler responsible for most of the classic Hermes jewelry designs in the 1930s and 40s. This design is from that era. A handsome pair of 18K yellow and white gold stirrup cufflinks by Cartier. The design is similar to the "Trinity" design, but features just two rings with a wavy profile. This is the first time we've seen this particular pattern. The cufflinks are hinged at the back and snap shut at the top of the arch. Each cufflink is fully marked with serial numbers, the master goldsmith's mark and "Cartier Paris."

This 1940's Los Castillo necklace is a magnificent showpiece. Likely designed by Margot van Voorhies Carr / Margot de Taxco, It's composed of twenty one double leaf panels which are connected by rivets, creating a necklace which lays perfectly on the neck. This Kay Denning bracelet is 3/4" wide. The five links are enameled white with slightly raised red and blue "cookies". It is hallmarked twice Denning on the reverse. Fold over clasp. No damage to the enameling.

A 14k yellow gold double row diamonds ring from the 1960s. This size 6-1/4 ring features two rows of 9 diamonds in a simple but elegant 3/4 x 1/4" setting. This ring weighs 3.8 grams, the diamonds are 2 points each (by gauge) and it is stamped 14K with a circled J maker's mark. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs...

Circa pre-1948, this coiled snake necklace is the early work of "CEL". I seldom come across pieces by this artisan, but the few I have had are all in the same folk art style of Matilde Poulat, as is this design. Like produced in Mexico City, this necklace is in superb vintage condition.

A delightful Victorian 10K yellow gold figural ring in the form of a genie. The genie's hands are folded across his chest and grasp a old European cut yellow sapphire.
