An impressive Retro period ring worked in 18K yellow gold with platinum accents, and featuring a .48-ct old mine cut diamond flanked by a pair of bright .47-ct round brilliant synthetic rubies (customary for the period). A fantastic and rare pair of 14K yellow gold Art Nouveau cufflinks by Krementz, the double faces depicting Native American warriors. The facial and hair details are beautifully worked in a design that also includes a bow and a quiver of arrows. Circa 1940-1945, this stunning and iconic belt from Hector Aguilar is known as the "Georgia O'Keefe" belt. A photo of O'Keefe wearing this belt is shown on page 108 of "Silver Masters of Mexico". Page 107 , bookplate III-24, shows this belt as "Large X's with One Button Belt".

There are different versions of this belt. This one is the largest, with a width of a full 2" for the leather, 2 3/8" at the buckle. Four "X's" measure 3 1/2" wide, 2 1/4" tall...

This striking design was created by Taxco, Mexico modernist Antonio Pineda in the 1950's. 20 brilliant tigers eye stones are set into 970 sterling frames. Silver rods tipped with beautifully matched pearls & 2 with silver are interspersed. The central element measures 3 3/4" across & 2 3/4" long at the center. The silver tipped velvet cord measures 29" long. Weighing 70 grams the necklace is in exquisite condition.

Spratling was known to have a large collection of Pre-Columbian Mayan & Olmec objects. He designed this necklace using hand wrought sterling silver beads, coral beads & hand carved obsidian Olmec figures most likely acquired from locals in the surrounding areas of Taxco, Mexico. A very rare pair of 14K yellow gold cufflinks, the faces designed as fearsome lion-like gargoyles.
