Decorated with a guilloche design of white enamel enhanced with a geometrical pattern, these sterling silver gilt cufflinks are an example of the fine work of Aksel Holmsen. A curved bridge bar securely connects each side. The enamel shows no loss or scratches; there are some small areas of tarnish along the edges of the silver, which has retained its gilding...

 

Formed as hollow cast discs, embossed and chased with elaborate floral designs, and bezel-set with carnelian beads – one of which shows a partial hole to one side. The earrings are secured with working clip backs; the maker’s impressed mark looks like Zuoco or Zocco. The earrings measure 1 ¼ inches in diameter.

Elegant pair of 18k yellow and white gold, cultured pearl and diamond pierced earrings, circa 1950's. Centered with one 6.0mm cultured pearl surrounded by fourteen round single cut diamonds set throughout curved milgrained channels. The diamonds are predominately VS in clarity and G-I in color. Attached to the back of each earring is a pierced post with locking, hinged wire back. Measures 3/4" diameter. Weight: 5 grams.

A fine 15-1/2" strand of 68 individually knotted cultured pearls. This necklace has a stamped 14k white gold clasp, and the pearls range from 3.5 to 7 mm. The well-matched pearls have a deep creamy white lustre and only minor surface blemishes, and this necklace is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs...

Hand made modernist ebony and sterling cufflinks and tie tac set, c.1950's. Wonderful asymmetric design gives these pieces motion. The set is wrapped in silver and the links are signed "STERLING". Excellent condition except for a tiny wood chip on the back of one cufflink, which cannot be seen from the front(see picture #4). The links measures 1 1/4" long by 3/4" wide. This sculptural bracelet was designed & signed c. 1950's by Taxco, Mexico artist Antonio Pineda. The bracelet measures 1 1/2" high and will fit up to a 7" wrist. It weighs 131 grams. These rocking horse earrings have to be Los Castillo's most endearing design and it is also rare. The weight is 14 grams of repousse. I took a side shot so you could see the depth and dimension these beauties have. They are 1in. tall and 1 1/8th of an inch wide. A fantastic set for a collectors jewel box.

Coiled aluminum wire ring made without soldering, in the style of Alexander Calder, c.1950's. Has large circular design and measures 1 1/4" in diameter. The ring is cleverly designed so that the band is set towards the edge rather than the mid section. Hence it lays comfortably on the finger. Ed Wiener also used this technique(see back photo). A nice pair of 14K white gold modernist cufflinks, the Florentined surfaces star-set with round blue sapphires. The sapphires are accented with bright-cut engraving to add a little more sparkle to the matte finish of the gold. Marked 14K.

These classic Deco design 14Kt gold and onyx cuff-links sport hexagonal onyx columns held by gold collars. The toggle backs are 14Kt yellow gold and the springs work well. The onyx columns are ¾” long. The cuff-links are in excellent condition.

A classic design of engine-turned engraved vertical lines and molded edges on the larger, rectangular buttons, the smaller sides ovular with a textured surface. The cuff links are lightweight but well made, and appear to have been hardly worn. The connections and bridge bars are very secure; both bars are marked 835 for silver content with double-struck crabs, apparently to indicate Paris (silver mark used 1838-1962). The maker's mark also appears in a diamond-shaped reserve...

Nice vintage sterling silver cufflinks, the faces decorated with an appliqued anchor and chain. The toggle backs are hinged so that the faces lie flat against the cuff. The toggles are marked "Sterling" and also have a patent number for the toggle mechanism.
