This very early Matl / Matilde Poulat pendant is a rare find. Dating 1930's - 1940, this pendant is studded with turquoise and branch coral, with gorgeous birds and kneeling angels holding turquoise tipped candles. Measures just over 3" from top of bail to bottom, width is 2". A nice heft at 28.5 grams. Signed and hallmarked "MATL 0.980". Collector quality.

Beautiful vintage bib fringed necklace with long black glass rods and small marbled blue glass beads, and a huge heavy center fob pendant with a blue glass stone and faux pearls, all suspended from a brass bookchain. 1930s. Jewelry hosting carved stone hearts in silver settings was very popular in the Mexican Deco period. Teased out of jasper and agate and oftentimes even dyed calcite, the hearts are unfailingly curvaceous as if pulsing with life, their sculpturality shamelessly inviting the touch. The amethyst stone is 1.25 inches in diameter. The stone has milky swirl and gives the look of a partial moon. A very nice appeal to the design. Vintage Bakelite necklace simulating cherry amber, with very large graduated oblong beads ranging in size from 30 mm long to 12 mm long. It weighs 62 grams. Circa 1930. It has been professionally restrung for security. Tests positive for Bakelite and guaranteed old and original. 18 1/2 inches wearable length and 7/8 inch wide. Excellent condition. One large bead has three small flaws, as shown, but this is not noticeable when the piece is worn. Photos enlarged to show detail.
