This past year seems to have been a Carmen Beckmann year for One Good Eye Silver. And even though I cannot claim it was because of planning, it has not been entirely out of luck either. Listed Glendale artist Mary Owens was known for paintings, but she also made jewelry during her career. She died several years ago, and this figural pendant brooch was purchased directly from her estate. It was one of her personal pieces which she made for herself, circa 1950s. Large, at 3" tall. Unsigned but will come with a certificate of authenticity from the City of Glendale's Brand Library, which conducted the sale. Excellent vintage condition.

A beautiful Art Nouveau bracelet worked in 18K yellow gold featuring oval blue sapphire cabochons accented with laurel wreath settings and alternating floral plaque links. The gold is very finely worked. The sapphires have medium dark, strong blue color (B6/5) and eye-clean clarity. They show no indications of heat treatment. The bracelet is completed with a concealed box clasp. The clasp is stamped with French gold hallmarks used outside Paris 1847-1919...

A vintage sterling silver neck ring with a prong set Boulder Opal by American Modernist jeweler, Ronald Hayes Pearson. The smooth sterling surface is contrasted with a textured edge.

Beautiful art deco HANDWROUGHT sterling bracelet by Georg Jensen, USA, c.1945. Made during post-WW11, Jensen closed it's Denmark site and much of the Jensen jewelry was made in US during this period(1945-1951). This smart pair of gold toned cufflinks was made by Lew Magram, SHIRTMAKER TO THE STARS in the 1950's. Each a copy of his famous shirt with tie including a red ruby-like glass cufflink on each cuff and label L.M. The shirt is textured gold and the tie and cuffs have a smooth surface.
