Listed Glendale artist Mary Owens was known for paintings, but she also made jewelry during her career. She died several years ago, and this figural pendant brooch was purchased directly from her estate. It was one of her personal pieces which she made for herself, circa 1950s. Large, at 3" tall. Unsigned but will come with a certificate of authenticity from the City of Glendale's Brand Library, which conducted the sale. Excellent vintage condition.

A beautiful Art Nouveau bracelet worked in 18K yellow gold featuring oval blue sapphire cabochons accented with laurel wreath settings and alternating floral plaque links. The gold is very finely worked. The sapphires have medium dark, strong blue color (B6/5) and eye-clean clarity. They show no indications of heat treatment.
