Margot van Voorhies Carr designed this pre-Colombian double swirl and her taller Margot de Taxco created this absolute to die for necklace. It is so beautiful it was chosen as the COVER DESIGN for the book WILLIAM SPRATLING AND THE MEXICAN SILVER RENAISSANCE by Penney C. Morrill. Definitely a favorite of mine being 1 14/16th wide (for all intent and purpose you can call it 2 inches wide) and 21in. long. The actual wearable size due to its width is a comfortable 17in...

A lovely Victorian tortoise shell pique pendant in a heart shape. The puffed surface is worked with gold and silver inlay in an ornate floral pattern within a scalloped inlaid border. The pattern of two flowers joined together by a ribbon, and of course, the overall heart shape suggest that the pendant would have been given as a love token. The tortoise has very nice markings and translucency when held to the light.

Priced for the necklace and earrings
Enrique Ledesma was known for his work with stone next to silver. In this necklace he chose some of the brightest obsidian with a flaming gold sheen. I can not capture how black this stone is without much light and also how it glows as you move with the light. The necklace has a wearable length of 17in. and is made with thick silver. The matching earrings are a gorgeous 1.75in. long and have a strong clip back. The height is just under a half inch tall...

The length is 9 inches but has a wearable of 6.5 inches. The stones are without damage and set into their rows like peas in a pod. There are no dents to the saucer shaped beads. There is a natural patina and you will see some patina scattered about and on the ends of the handmade beads. Exceedingly rare and built for attention at 212 grams of thick silver...

This classic U.S. Navy ring is something of an oddity—it was custom-made in France! The ring is an older style with shoulders depicing an American eagle surmounting a stars and stripes shield over the letters “USN”. The crown is set with an oval cabochon of almandine garnet surrounded by the words “United States Navy,” the words separated by stars. The garnet has an intense deep red color that contrasts handsomely with the gold. The design elements of the ring suggest an early 20th cen...
