A very cool brooch by Peggy Miller, an American studio jeweler who worked in Baltimore in the 1950's -60's. This brass brooch measures 2" across and 2 1/8" high. Has a rollover safety clasp that holds securely. Signed Peggy Miller on the back. The points are curved up giving the brooch a three dimensional effect. There is some tarnish. Great mid century design.

This mid-century modern diamond ring from the 1960-s is a great engagement ring, or it can be a right hand diamond ring. The center diamond is an approximately 0.50Ct brilliant cut diamond that has L color and VS1 clarity. The bezel set center diamond is flanked on by 15 brilliant cut diamonds set in three rows on either side. The approximate total weight of all 31 diamonds is 1.10Ct The ring is a size 6 ¼ and it can easily be sized.

It is size 6-1/2 or 6.5. It is unmarked (14k gold guaranteed, has been tested), and has a claw set 23 point genuine brilliant cut diamond (measured by gauge)...

This lovely, sterling silver, Mexican, well-crafted bracelet displays shiny, turquoise cabochons on each ornate link. It is 6 3/4" long. Each convex link measures approximately 1 1/4" x 1". It has a box clasp marked STERLING 925, and, in a circle on the back of one of the links: TAXCO HECHO EN MEXICO (blurry) with the an illegible mark in the middle. It has a V-spring and Box Clasp marked STERLING 925. It has good heft, weighing just under 1 1/2 ounces and is in great condition.

These handsome gold tone square toggle back cufflinks add a dash to any french cuff, having a centered stylized diagonal, one half engraved, unmarked, circa 1960. Measures 5/8 in., minor wear.

Fun and perfect for this summer - especially if you decide to stay away from beaches! - this mod sterling silver "fish with air bubble" necklace by Los Castillo comes out of the workshop's "onix negro" line of jewelry. I find this technique fascinating - it poses a big challenge to the lapidary's and silversmith's abilities as the onyx slab has to be carved out precisely to the dimensions of the sterling inlay that will be set in it...

A classic pair of diamond and pearl earrings from the 1960’s is set in 14Kt yellow gold with a European lever backs. These earrings can be worn dressy for occasions or sporty with jeans or basically all the time. The well matched high luster cultured pearls measure 8.5 millimeters and the approximate total weight of the two full cut diamonds is 0.10Ct.

A double row of petals composed of gilded sterling silver and enameled in deep red adds a bit of drama to this late-1960s flower pin. A cross-hatch grid pattern of guilloche work under the enamel enhances the design. There is a secure rollover clasp on the back, with a maker’s mark of a crown and marks for sterling and Norway. It measures 2 ¼ inches across by 2 ½ inches long, including the stem. Weight: 22.8 grams

An interesting hand wrought ring in copper with two brass overlaid wires by JB Pericles. Marked Pericles Haiti on the back. Currently a size 7 but is adjustable.

Jean Baptist Pericles was closely associated with Winifred Mason Chenet d'Haiti who trained the exceptional jeweler, Art Smith.

These earrings have a Modern American Studio look. They measure 5/8" x 1/2" x 1/4". The graduating, semi-circles exhibit the Studio style. They are c. 1960's and in excellent condition.

A nice Italian Etruscan style 18K gold lantern-shamed fob charm enhanced with coral cabochons. The midsection of the charm is left open to give it a feeling of lightness and to bring more life to the coral. The gold surfaces are enhanced with twisted wire and rosette decoration. The charm is stamped “750” for 18K.

This simple yet elegant 14Kt yellow gold jade signet ring can be worn by men and women alike. The 12 X 8 millimeter oval cabochon jade is bezel set. This is a very stylish 18Kt yellow ring depicting a snake with its twists and turns moving out of the coiled position. The snake has two diamond eyes. The size of the ring is 5 ½ but it can be sized.

A lovely 18K yellow gold Sputnik ring by H Stern. The dome is bezel-set with round citrines amethysts, green and pink tourmalines, garnets and aquamarines. This design was created in the 1950s to highlight the range of colored gemstones available from Stern’s Brazilian mines. It came to be called “Sputnik” because of its resemblance to the spiky Soviet satellite launched in 1957. This is a pair of stylish 14Kt white gold and diamond openwork hanging earrings. Each earring is set with a larger diamond and three smaller diamonds. The approximate total weight of all eight diamonds is 0.60Ct. The earrings have posts, and measure 1 3/8” high and 7/16” wide.

A fine large 18K yellow gold Venetian Etruscan fob, bracelet charm or pendant set with oval amethysts and pearls in a crown shape. The gold surfaces are enhanced with twisted wire, rosettes and beading. The amethysts have very good, even coloring in an appealing medium-violet shade. The pearls have nice luster and rosy overtones that compliment the color of the amethysts. The bail is marked for 18K gold.

A vintage hand made pendant in hammered brass with Pre Columbian pottery beads and a central mask. Hammered brass neck ring hooks in two places in the center. There are five dangles on the bottom with stone and ceramic beads and hammered brass disks. Central pendant measures 5" long and 2 7/8" across. Neck ring measures about 22" around. Etched signature on the back, 'Donna Brown'. Reminiscent of the work of Annette Nancarrow and Maya Mexico. Well made, bold design.

A vintage modernist bronze link bracelet by Pentti Sarpaneva. Measures about 7 3/8" around and 1 3/8" wide. Has a box push in closure which holds securely and a safety chain. Marked P. Sarpaneva on the back of the clasp. Nice contrast of dark and light surfaces. Fine condition, classic design. 1960's.
