Enrique Ledesma was known for his work with stone next to silver. In this necklace he chose some of the brightest obsidian with a flaming gold sheen. I can not capture how black this stone is without much light and also how it glows as you move with the light. The necklace has a wearable length of 17in. and is made with thick silver. Lovely vintage sterling silver brooch set with a cluster of eight Mikimoto-quality pearls. The pearls range from 6.0 to 7.5mm. They have very white body color with silvery overtones. The nacre is thick and very lustrous. Mikimoto supplied other jewelers with pearls and it is most likely that these are by Mikimoto. The openwork sterling silver setting in a stylized floral form is typical of the 1950s and the clasp is identical to those used by Mikimoto during the period...

A cast rectangular top decorated with what look like applied and incised stylized scrollwork; the surface is textured and is unevenly oxidized. The sides exhibit clamp-like elements and the band shoulders bear engraved geometric designs. The band is flattened, and on the inside is marked with the German crown and moon, 800, and what looks like a worn maker’s mark. This Hattie Carnegie is unsigned. It has her characteristic lucite (resin) coral body with clear rhinestones set in gold tone. It has a ridged segmented curler body, scales, horn and lower jaw open to expose the openwork metal. It is 2 7/8" x 1 3/4" . Excellent condition.

An ornate piece of cast work featuring flowers, scrolls, garlands and scallop shells. The pin is set with a central faceted rectangular citrine, tiny pieces of orange glass and seed pearls. The C-clasp is secure; the pin stem is struck with a special Hungarian mark used from 1937-1999 indicating a piece that may have left the country temporarily, as for an exhibition. The brooch measures 1 ½ inches long by 1 1/8 inches wide.

A vintage pair of figural screw back earrings attributed to Ex-pat Ken Beldin in copper and patinated brass. Screw backs are marked Silver Mexico.

Measure 2 3/8" long including the screw back top and 7/8" at the widest. Screw backs hold securely. They have some areas of tarnish. There are a lot of scratches on the back but we're not sure we see a signature.
