Francois - Coro tried to give their costume jewelry a "French" touch and Francois was chosen as the name for their higher end jewelry. The line was introduced in 1933. But the line only lasted until 1944 when it was replaced by Vendome as Coro's Couturier division.

Francois was one of the new designers at Coro in 1938.

Fabulous very unusual vintage copper cuff with inset navy blue leather. From a Philadelphia estate that had a large quantity of Arts & Crafts and Art Deco jewelry. Circa 1940. 1 1/2 inches wide and 7 1/2 inches inside diameter including the gap, which is 1 3/8 inches. Excellent condition. Photos enlarged to show detail.

When I first saw these very old Margarita signed Vintage Mexican Silver Earrings I thought they were incredible and very special. I went back again and again to see them as the price was extremely high. After more looking I really felt these were not just rare but monumental. They are 3.5in. long and 1.5in. High. Classic Hector Aguilar Lyre necklace in 940 silver featured in all of the books on Mexican Silver. Measuring 16 1/4" end to end , it is 3/4" wide. Fine original condition and signed as shown. One of Aguilars' most recognizable pieces and always spectacular.

14k rose gold and diamond screw back earrings. Approximately .40cttw of brilliant cut diamonds in solid 14k rose gold. The earrings measure approximately 1.5" long and .5" at their widest. They are stamped "14k" on the screw back finding and the bottom portion is articulated to move when worn. The overall weight of the pair is 15.9g. They are in excellent condition.

This sterling stork has a curly tail, leaves for feet and angel like wings. The body is a very large kite shaped reversed carved blue rhinestone. All of this in a sterling setting. A nice example of an openwork diamond cluster ring is this 14Kt two tone beauty. Taxco 980 signed pieces are always quality. This link is 118 grams heavy and is the closest thing to the Coco design of the Spratling original necklace which is so very, very rare. The Taxco 980 necklace is 20in. long and has a depth of 7/16th's giving it even more dimension. No dents or damage and kept lovingly through time. One of my favorite things, just LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE!
