An outstanding vintage modernist sterling silver necklace and earrings by studio jeweler, Fridl Blumenthal. Signed with her Tulip mark on the necklace and FRIDL, Sterling, Tulip, and the number 32 on each earring. The findings on the earrings are also marked sterling. Heavy sterling silver with sterling overlay on niello. Necklace measures approximately 14" around and the 'pendant' is 1" wide. Earrings measure 1 1/4" long and 3/4" across. This beautiful pendant is straight out of the Arts & Crafts movement; it’s very much in the style of Horner, but it’s unsigned. It is enameled in an intense blue with areas of a much lighter blue. The dropper shades from a pale green through a lighter blue into an intense blue, echoing the color of the main part of the pendant. The back is marked “sterling silver”, and the dropper is marked “silver”. It measures 1-3/8 x 1-3/16, and is on a modern 18” sterling chain...

A classic Art Deco 18K white gold Russian braid chain necklace with opal cabochons and faceted onyx beads sandwiched together into egg-shaped stations along the length. The opals have nice play-of-color with a preponderance of blues and greens. Most station chain necklaces are quite long, but the shorter length of this example makes for a very wearable, delicate look. The clasp is stamped with French 18K marks.

Alberto Contreras Sr. was trained by master silversmith Frank Patania Sr. in the late 1940's and employed at the Patania Thuderbird Shop in Santa Fe. Their work was heavily influenced by the Native American jewelers that worked with them. These beautiful clip back sterling and turquoise earrings feature a striking Modernist design with great stones. They measure 1"by1" and weigh 16 grams total. An exceptionally fine, heavy 18K yellow gold bracelet by Pierre Baltensperger. Each of the plaques represents a different flower, depicted in semi-abstract ways. Among the flowers are daisies, cyclamens, fuschias, morning glories and honeysuckle. Baltensperger was founded in 1878 by Walter Baltensperger, who quickly established the firm’s luxury reputation. A pretty Art Nouveau 10K yellow gold locket by Elias Rees & Son, depicting a young woman surrounded by a bower of flowers. The back cover bears a period monogram, nicely worked in ornate Art Nouveau script. The interior retains the original frames and glass covers on both sides and is hallmarked by Rees.

Chic modernist very big goldtone metal mounted cream Lucite door knocker pendant on a long goldtone chain. Marked TRIFARI. 25 inches wearable length and the pendant is 2 3/4 inches long. Excellent condition. Display form is life size. Photos enlarged to show detail.

Composed of three thick strands of rope-like white metal chain, braided into one continuous strand. Very dramatic look, and the necklace is surprisingly comfortable to wear, considering its heft. It measures 1 inch wide, with a circumference of about 2 ½ inches; the necklace drops about 15 inches when worn.

A vintage MCM large sterling silver sun brooch or pendant by the Talleres Monasticos Monks who signed their work EMAUS.

This stylized sun measures 4 1/4" high and 4 1/4" across. Has a large bale so can be worn on a thick chain or neck ring collar. Also has a rollover safety clasp that holds securely. There is a little pitting on the pin part.

Marked EMAUS 925 and Eagle #3 on the bale. There are also some initials that we can't read...

Late Victorian peridot earrings set in 14K and white gold (hallmarked). French back for pierced ears. Roundcut natural peridot is 3/8 inch in diameter, surrounded by 8 rosecut diamonds set in white gold. Beautiful, stunning color. Total width of earrings is 5/8 inch. Total weight is 6.8 grams.

This geometric diamond shaped pin has a bakelite back. This pin measures 3 1/8" in width and 1 1/2" in height with a depth of 1/4". It is in excellent condition.

Composed of gilded sterling, this delicate necklace features four-lobed stylized florals in white enamel, with translucent enameled centers imitiating half-pearls. It is marked with the David-Andersen scales, and the designer’s mark of Willy Winnaess. Secure, original hardware on both necklace and earrings, which are clip backs. Necklace measures 15 ¼ inches long; earrings are roughly 3/8 inch square. Necklace weight: 27.6 grams

A vintage sterling silver modernist pendant and necklace by Hans Sten and Karl Laine from Sten and Laine in Finland. Pendant reminds us of an abstract spiderweb. Pendant measures 3 1/8" long to the top of the bale and 2 1/8" at the widest. Chain is attached at the bale and closes with a spring clasp that holds tightly. Chain measures about 17" around. Marked on the bale with the hallmark for Sten and Laine, 925H for sterling, Town mark for Turku and T7 for 1972. Very nice condition...

This antique pair of earrings are from the Miao Chinese Ethnic minority The original "wires" are a bit thick and buyer may want to change them to accomodate contemporary pierced ears... Assumbed to be low grade silver which was typically used in old China... the cubes have the same decorative elements on all 4 sides...each cube has a series of drop dangles hanging from the bottom full length of earings 2 inches ....not including the wires

This silver pendant, of abstract design, is randomly decorated with cabochon carnelians. The back exhibits two bails to string a chain through. There is a partial maker’s mark on the reverse and possibly two other marks. The pendant tests silver, and could be European. It measures 2 ¾ inches wide by 2 inches long. Gross weight: 26.4 grams

Circa mid-century, these are fabulous earrings from Margot de Taxco.

These koi fish with teardrop amethyst dangles measure 1 3/4" tall, and they are stunning. The detailing is amazing. Amethysts match perfectly in color, and screw backs work perfectly.

Signed and hallmarked "Margot de Taxco 5207" on one, "Sterling Made in Mexico" on the other. No eagle assay.

This mid-century bracelet is the work of Felipe Martinez, whose Taxco shop was called "Piedra y Plata.

Piedra y Plata opened in 1950 and soon gained a reputation as one of the best silver shops in Taxco.

This bracelet features flawlessly inlaid chrysocolla stones in heavy gauge sterling silver with a striking modernist design.

Fabulous vintage 1970s very long and very big necklace with faceted black glass beads, and large cast silvertone metal elements with brilliant prongset rhinestones, and a matching screw barrel clasp also set with rhinestones. From the 1960’s Italy comes this exceptionally carved 33 X 42 millimeter oval shell cameo broach/pendant depicting the bust of a classic Roman beauty with flowers in her hair. The 14Kt yellow gold frame measures 41 X 51 millimeters and is marked 14Kt and 585. Besides the pin in the back there is a fold down bail that makes this great broach very versatile and wearable as a pendant as well.

Interesting combination of magenta and purple, this set is of composition beads in various sizes and shapes. Knotted throughout, the two necklace strands measure 26 1/2" and 29". A Victorian 14k gold synthetic sapphire seed pearls leaf pin brooch from 1880-1890. This attractive2-1/8 x 5/8" brooch is of hollow construction and it has a finely tooled pinioned leaf with seed pearls and a claw-set synthetic sapphire. Fine gem stones like emeralds or sapphires were very expensive in the 19th and early 20th century, so synthetic gems were often used even in gold jewelry. The pearls are natural with the expected surface irregularities and this pin is unmarked but tests as 14...

Very nice, heavy pair of 18K yellow gold cufflinks that resemble a link taken from a large chain. One cross-end is fixed, but the other is hinged so the cufflinks can pass through the hole. These cufflinks look very stylish streamlined appearance when being worn. Tested and guaranteed 18K gold.

Outstanding vintage Art Deco/Retro Moderne horse form figural brooch in ebonized carved wood with inlaid silver detail. Circa 1945. Unsigned, most likely by Elzac Inc., which produced jewelry from materials such as ceramic, Lucite, fur, feathers, cloth, and wood during World War II when other materials were in short supply.

With an embedded pin back and with silver decoration, including beads around the collar and along the mane, and thin wires above and below the beads around the collar....

The main bodies hang freely from the surmounts, and the bottom edges suspend free-hanging pearls, providing a lot of movement when being worn.
