Very rare and stunning vintage Georg Jensen Denmark sterling bracelet no. 181 designed by Ibe Dahlquist in the 60’s. A sassy dragon curled around a large amethyst-colored brilliant (yes, it’s glass) hides the hook that turns this into a watch pin. He has a dark red cabochon eye (probably also glass) and a colorless brilliant in his mouth. The pin is unmarked and is 1” by ¾” in size. The metal is vermeil (gold over silver). A round hinge and eared clasp suggest an age of late 1800s or early 1900s, but the exact age is unknown.

The spectacular violet color of this oval brilliant-cut glows in this lovely 14K yellow gold Art Nouveau setting featuring iris blossoms and foliage. In Victorian flower language, the iris often represented the sentiment "I have a message for you," but in this instance I think the use of irises probably relates more to the purple tones of the gemstone. This signed Gerardo Lopez's lotus flower pectoral is one of the most beautiful silver works from the Spratling Era. The repousse is without dents or flaws. With the span of the drop being 5.5in. across and the height at 4in. the presence is spectacular. I calculate a 5in. diameter and approximate 17in. circumference. A tiny enameled violet and a free-hanging baroque freshwater pearl enhance the dainty 10K gold pendant, complete with a curb link chain. Violets were used to represent the sentiments of love and faithfulness in the Victorian era. The pearl has nice luster that contrasts prettily with the colors of the enamel.
