How often does one find a ring by renowned Taxco modernist Enrique Ledesma? Let me answer my question - almost never! One of the most talented Taxco maestros, Gerardo Lopez was exceptional in the art of repoussage and his jewelry is sought after and avidly collected for its quality and inventive motif combinations. I have suggested in the past that he must have worked for the Los Castillo and / or Margot de Taxco because many of the motifs he uses are also found in the famous workshops' creations...

This stylish handmade Art Deco platinum cocktail ring is set with two marquise diamonds and forty-two single cut diamonds. The approximate weight of the two marquise diamonds is 0.40Ct and the approximate total weight of all diamonds is 0.90Ct. The top of the ring measures 13/16” by ½”. The ring is a size 3 ¾, and it can easily be sized.

Here is a sterling silver pin of signature design by the Danish maker Niels Erik From. It is composed of stylized rounded leaves and berries on a stem, enhanced by applied patination, and is secured by a rollover safety clasp. The maker’s mark is impressed on the back. The pin measures 2 1/8 inches long by 1 inch wide.

Huge copy of one of the most famous brass and copper cuffs bracelets by modernist ART SMITH, probably c.1980's. Unsigned, it measures 5" by 9 3/4" outside circumference and 2 1/2" diameter at openings. Crudely made, it does not have the fine craftsmanship of Art Smith. The soldering at the back of the brass wire has solder showing connecting the wires. Otherwise, it's in excellent condition. A Victorian 10k yellow gold seed pearls crescent pin brooch circa 1900. This simple and elegant 2 x 1/2" pin features graduated seed pearls and it has the original c-clasp. It weighs 2.3 grams, it is stamped 10K with a maker's mark and the ends stand proud when viewed from the side giving it a nice subtle wave-like appearance. A very attractive pair of silver cufflinks inlaid with various hardstones by noted Navajo artist Jim Harrison. The curved faces are inlaid with turquoise, coral, lapis, sugilite, onyx and malachite in a contemporary interpretation of timeless Navajo designs. Harrison is considered a pioneer of contemporary Native America inlaid jewelry and his work is held in several museum collections. Each cufflink is signed "Jim Harrison" and is marked "Sterling".

A very uniquely shaped broach/pendant is this 14Kt white gold filigree shell cameo from the 1920-s depicting the silhouette of a young lady. Art nouveau elements are incorporated in the designs of the cameo carving as well as the shape of the broach resembling a flower basket. The 1 7/8” wide and 1 3/8” high broach has a fold down bail that makes it wearable as a pendant.
