This sophisticated, cleanly designed ring features an onyx cabochon mounted in the center of a carnelian disc, set in 14kt gold. Both stones are in lovely condition; the gold band is unmarked, but has been tested for gold content. The ring dates from the 1960s, and has a classy, "mod" look that reads mid- to late 1960s. The setting measures about 3/4 inch in diameter and about 1/4 inch high. The ring is a size 6 1/2-7.

A pair of modernist sterling silver clip earrings, #116 B designed in 1955 by Edvard Kindt-Larsen for Georg Jensen, Denmark. The B indicates that these are the larger examples.

Measure 1/2" across and 7/8" high. Marked Georg Jensen in a dotted oval, 925S Denmark and style 116 B. There is another very tiny hallmark on the end of each of the clips but we can't make them out. May be a U.K. import mark.

A large 1" in diameter porcelain cabochon. Abstract patterns in brown and gray, and gold overlay is the focus of this interesting Norwegian ring. Cabochon is bezel set in sleek sterling mount that has an adjustable back- which is currently a size 6.5. It is marked "925S, Norway, Sterling," and with an anchor shaped hallmark. By Porsgrund, circa 970s. The designer attributed to this piece is Anne Marie Odegaard. In excellent vintage condition.

A classic 14Kt gold bow pin from the 1940-s is centered by a 5 millimeter bezel set round opal. The inscription in the back shows that this bow was given to someone special in 1944. The length of the pin is 1 7/8” and the width at the widest part is ½”.

The dramatic focus of this 1970s necklace is a pendant of applied molten sterling silver on a trapezoidal frame. It is set with small jade and onyx cabochons, as well as one moonstone bead. It is suspended from a handmade sterling neckring with a hook and button clasp. The pendant and neckring are marked sterling; there is no maker’s mark. Dating in the 1940s, this massive sterling silver and azur-malachite "mozaico Azteca" inlay pendant necklace is signed by Taxco maestro Jose Anton. I am more used to Anton's repousse work yet from time to time, I do come across some examples that feature overlay and, as in this case, stone inlay. What impresses me here is, of course, the generously sized pendant with its "warrior" silver inlay in profile as well as the detail of the eagle figure floating in the air next to it...

Listed Glendale artist Mary Owens was known for paintings, but she also made jewelry during her career. This bracelet is hallmarked Mexico Silver and it is a refreshing take on a Spratling design but leaving it to be all of it's own originality. The bracelet is 1.5in. tall in the front with the repousse band goes to .50in. in the back. This is a heavy piece in your hands and is 2.5in. in diameter. There are 6 turquoise snake eye stones on the cuffs of the hands. The amethyst balls are free of any damage and they are 5/8th's in. wide and have a gorgeous deep purple color.

Though it is not uncommon to find Mexican silver fur pins, it is usually single pieces that are available. Antique Peranakan or Straits Chinese silver belt, probably early 20th century. With its Aceh style Phoenix bird theme this belt was traditionally used by ladies at weddings and other festivities. The buckle – now missing but easily replaced by a matching textile ribbon - would have held a larger version of the Phoenix motif. With diffuse marks but tested for a silver content of 500/1000. This sterling silver buckle features translucent (plique a jour) enamel in a floral motif. These sash buckles with plique are quite unusual. The enamel is red, green, and two shades of blue. It is signed with a “JK” above another “JK” in a box. There are marks for London, 1886, and a duty mark. Measuring 3-1/8” x 2-1/4", it weighs 32.7g or 1.16 oz. It is in very good condition.
