A handsome pair of vintage 14K yellow gold cufflinks by Tiffany & Co. The round faces are accented with sunburst engraving and are centered by round mixed-cut blue sapphires. This is a Los Castillo design made by Hilario Lopez who worked for several Tallers through his career(of which one was Margot de Taxco) and he was an accomplished Maestro. The construction is open backed repousse but it is framed in heavy silver making a respectable 80 grams heavy. There is lots of bead work executed on this design and it is in impeccable condition. If you could find an original Los Castillo of this rare design it would cost at least twice what this one costs...

Large Gusanos (caterpiller)Mexican solid gold earrings at 2inches by half an inch wide make for a grand presence. The weight is 7.3 grams of gold that tests from around 9kt to 12kt. These older filigree pieces are not signed and originate from Oaxaca. Absolutely lovely 2 rows of seed pearls are wired and tied off on the back and some solder over the ends finishes the durability of the piece. The seed pearls look more silver than the monitor shows them to be.

Margot van Voorhies was married to Antonio Castillo and they opened Los Castillo where Margot became well known for her designs. After a divorce she opened her own taller Margot de Taxco. This is design number 5213 the hearts. You see this design with glass or amethyst centers but this one is a rare sterling dome. The length is 15 inches and is 1 1/8th inches tall. The links are without damage and is properly hallmarked as shown. A treasure of collector quality, just LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE.
