Signed with the conjoined HA, Taxco and 940 for better than sterling silver. Pre Eagle, (pre 1949).

Measures 2 1/4" across and 2" high. Has a rollover safety clasp that holds securely. The brooch has a beautiful, warm patina.

This Miguel Melendez hinged bangle is patterned with irregular shaped 1 mm thick silver tiles or pavers, fitted into one another kind of scaling or print. The channels or recessed portions are highly oxidized and the brighter polished areas provides a great play on light-to-darkness.

It is hallmarked with two (2) separate circular marks and an assay stamping. One mark is the the lower case "m" surrounded with a large "C" followed by Taxco...

This Trifari Alfred Philippe sterling jelly belly fly brooch is vermeil with rhinestones and lucite jelly belly. It is hallmarked Trifari with crown, Des Pat No 137200, Sterling. It is in super condition. It measures 2" x 1 3/4". This is the large fly. Circa 1945 designed by Alfred Philippe.

Lucite jelly bellies were copied from figurals originally done in gold and rock crystal.

This pin is 2 1/4" long by 1 1/4" wide. It is hallmarked S.C.F. Denmark.

This Joseff of Hollywood crab, shell and 13 mm pearl brooch is in excellent condition. The mysteries of the Middle East influenced this design.

The detailed modeling is in the Russian gold finish they made famous for its photographic effect. The crab sits on a scallop shell and holds a large and lustrous simulated pearl. It is hallmarked Joseff signature on an applied plaque. It is 2" x 2 1/4".

Joseff was the jeweler for the Hollywood movie moguls form 1930-1948...

Early pair of sterling and amethyst cuff bracelets by Victoria, Mexico, c.1940. They are each signed "VICTORIA TAXCO MADE IN MEXICO SILVER 103" and are in excellent condition. Handmade sterling silver bracelet designed & signed c. 1940's by Taxco, Mexico designer William Spratling (1900-67). Bracelet measures 7 1/2 wearable inches long & 3/4" wide. Weighs 56 grams. Deeply carved so as to represent folds in a fancy bow tie the green agate in this big Mexican Deco brooch has beautiful color variation and is pleasantly "soft" to the touch. The substantial stone is generously backed in silver and held in place with sturdy, hand-wrought prongs. Classically Deco, I also find it rather tongue-in-cheek, an elegant "mockery" of the stiffness of "proper attire". The brooch measures 3" wide by 1 1/2" tall and weighs 33.6 grams...

Ca1940 A study cable bracelet with rope twist design marked LP sterling. The large heart charm is inscribed(TTB?) and marked LaPaglia Designed International Sterling.The bracelet is 8"x 1/2" ; the charm 1 -1/2" x 1 -1/4".Weight 2.1 ozs.

These earrings are clipbacks, featuring white glass or milk glass apples, set in gold tone. Each earring is marked TRIFARI (with the crown over the T) and DESIGN PAT. PEND. They are circa 1940's and are in excellent condition.

Los Castillo 396 swirl clamper was designed by Margot van Voorheis Carr when married to Don Antonio Castillo. Her early work brought on success that followed her through out her career and this clamper bracelet reflects one of the very best repousse clampers from the Spratling Era. The bracelet has a dark patina and it is heavy at 105 grams. 4in. tall and the 2.5in. diameter fits an average size of most wrists...

An early cross pendant in Sterling Silver with Coral, Amethyst and Turquoise by Matilde Poulat. Cross measures 1 3/4" wide and 1 7/8" tall. Marked MATL in script, Mexico, 925 and Pate 10670. Amethyst stone is faceted. Suspended on a 26" long Taxco hand wrought sterling chain marked with an Eagle #3, and the initials PCM. Fine condition, the colors of the stones are vibrant. Classic MATL design.

The SPRATLING DE MEXICO hallmarks suggest that Spratling designed this intricately constructed silver & chrysocolla mosaic brooch in 1949-50. This was shortly after his Alaskan design period. In beautiful condition, the pin measures 4 1/3" long & weighs 38 grams. The pin back & safety are tight & secure. A beautiful 14K yellow gold floral pin by Tiffany & Co. Pointed, swirled petals surround a central diamond and blue sapphire cluster. The prong-set, brilliant-cut stones have excellent bright color and clarity as expected of Tiffany. This brooch is an excellent example of the sort of stylized floral gem-set designed that Tiffany produced for daywear toward the end of the retro period and in the very early 1950s. The back is marked “14K” and “Tiffany & Co.”

Ca 1940 Here is another early bracelet and necklace with hematite stones created by Laurence Foss, a designer at Georg Jensen. The stones are in perfect condition and the silver has a lovely patina. Both the necklace and bracelet are marked with the Foss stamp Sterling. The bracelet is also marked 416A while the necklace, 416-1/2. The bracelet measures 7" x 3/4"and weighs 25.5 grams; the necklace is 15-1/2" including hook and weighs 33grams. A lovely collector's piece.
