Victoria is one of the few female designers and silversmiths of Taxco’s 20th c. Silver Renaissance that we know of and she is credited, among others, for perfecting the “metales casados” or “married metals” technique. In this necklace, however, she adds a modernist twist to an otherwise “archeological” design...

This mid-century kinetic design necklace is the work of Erika Hult de Corral.

It's a stunning signature piece which features an extra-long length of 28 1/2". Erika Hult de Corral studied at the Parsons School of Design in Paris, later on working with both Sigi Pineda and Enrique Ledesma before opening her own shop.

This lovely, sterling silver, Mexican, well-crafted bracelet displays a very colorful, large, faux fire opal on each ornate link. It is 6 3/4" long. Each link measures approximately 1 1/8" x 1". It is sterling silver and marked on the clasp: STERLING MEXICO 925, and, in a circle on the back of one of the links: TAXCO HECHO EN MEXICO with the "spread eagle" assay mark in the middle. Each link is slightly convex, adorned with a vivid, faux opal cabochon. It is in excellent condition.

This ring depicts a climbing snake. It is adjustable in size. The head of the snake is set in abalone. It is marked TAXCO 925, then (hard to read) MEXICO and maker's initials. It also has the Government assay spread eagle mark with a 3 inside.

This mid-century bracelet from Los Ballesteros is a book-piece design, shown in "Warman's Jewelry" by Christie Romero. Certainly one of the most sought after designs from Los Ballesteros, this is a stand-out showpiece. It's large and heavy and supremely gorgeous, with colorful faceted stones in vivid hues alternating between incised stars. Closed, wearable length is 6 3/4", with a width of 1 11/16". Weight is a very substantial 140.9 grams, or over 4.5 troy ounces. Collector quality.

Stunning in its towering smokey brilliance, this minimalist solitaire by Carmen Beckmann is a modernist Mexican beauty! Based in San Miguel de Allende Beckmann is reported to have started her activity a little later than the big Mexico City and Taxco workshops with most of her pieces dating in the 1950s and 1960s. A classic combination for Enrique Ledesma, the marrying of sterling and stone, makes this vintage Mexican bracelet an easily recognizable creation by the renowned Taxco modernist. This great necklace is circa 1970. It is composed of sterling silver and vibrant, turquoise mosaic inlay-style. It measures 17 3/4" long and consists of 17 links that measure 7/8" x 1/2". Each link is slightly convex. It is marked TAXCO MEXICO 925 in a circle, with LVR in the middle and marked TU-08 below. It has a V-Spring and Box Clasp. It has good heft, weighing 70 grams / 2.5 ounces and it is in very good condition.

A vintage modernist heavy sterling silver cuff bracelet by Antonio Pineda, Taxco embellished with four pearls. Thick sterling curved bars attached with spheres and four small saucers with a pearl in each one. Measures 5 1/2" around with an opening of 1 1/4" and 15/16" wide. Marked with the Antonio crown, Silver, 970, Sterling Mexico and an Early Eagle 17 mark. The saucers on the edges have some minor flattening. Sterling has some minor scratches and a little tarnish. Wonderful and rare.

A very rare sterling silver bracelet by Salvador Teran. Depicts a stylized woman praying, carved out of what looks like bone. Also has one curved bone piece on either side of the center section. Marked Salvador, Sterling, Mexico, Design # 510 and Eagle # 36. Measures 7" around and 1 3/8" at the widest. Has a tongue and box closure which snaps tightly and a safety chain. In wonderful condition with a warm patina. Collector quality.

Classic Antonio Pineda bangle bracelet wrought in the maestro's favorite, .970 fine silver alloy with deep notches all around it that appear more dramatic thanks to the intentionally applied oxidation. There is something about Antonio's jewelry that bring them close to your heart as soon as you first see them and this piece is no exception. This cool ring is adjustable in size (to size 9). It is sterling silver with 3 abstract flowers buds: turquoise, quartz, onyx, tiger's eye and a red stone -- cabs. Calling the vintage Mexican silver and black stone "mask" ring I am presenting here massive is not an exaggeration. It is not just the actual ring size (9.5 US) that makes it so; it is also the textured, solid setting, quite masculine in design, and the beautifully carved, stupendous effigy it houses. This beautiful, sterling silver bracelet measures 7 1/2" long. Each link features a dark, multifaceted stone with iridescent colors. The stones are bezel set. The V-spring box clasp is marked on each piece: the V-spring has the Mexican Assay mark with a 2 inside the spread eagle. An interesting pair of cufflinks carved from pieces of coral and shaped as koi. Each fish has the distinctive ruffled tail fins that are typical of the species.
