A handsome late Victorian stick pin featuring a reverse-carved crystal depicting a bulldog. Essex crystals, especially those showing dogs and sporting subjects, were very popular during the last quarter of the 19th century. This elegant link bracelet has the look and feel of a much more expensive piece, but is made of silver gilt and set with faceted pieces of glass meant to imitate amandine garnets.
