We have a superb Los Castillo 18in. long necklace to offer today. The links are 1 3/8ths tall making for a striking presence. The stones have no cracks or chips and also have no striations that come to the surface of the amethyst. The color is a beautiful mix of milky swirl and jelly purple. Properly hallmarked as shown with the old linear mark for Los Castillo when Margot Van Voorhies was married to Don Antonio Castillo. Definitely a collectors treasure.

A large pair of 18K yellow gold Sputnik earrings by H Stern. The domes are bezel-set with round amethysts, citrines, aquamarines, peridots, green tourmalines, pink tourmalines and garnets. The Sputnik design was created in the 1950’s to highlight the range of colored gemstones available from Stern’s Brazilian mines. It later came to be called “Sputnik” for its resemblance to the spiky Soviet satellite launched in 1957...

This interesting pin is constructed of four flat, interlocking rings and has a nice heft to it. The rollover clasp is original to the piece and in good working order. The back bears the maker's mark of a conjoined HT, an unidentified silversmith who also worked with Estela Popowski, as well as independently. There are four other marks on the back: an eagle 20, a Hecho en Mexico mark and two sterling marks. The pin measures 2 inches long by 1 inch wide. Gross weight: 14.9 grams

A vintage sterling silver necklace with a claw-set sterling shell cameo pendant c1930s. The chain is 19-3/8" long, and the cameo pendant measures just over 1-1/2" x 3/4" (including bale). The sterling silver chain with a spring-ring catch, which is stamped 925. The cameo setting looks hand made, but is not stamped (but it tests as high grade silver). The cameo pendant has an older rhodium finish, so the chain may have been changed at some point...

An Art Nouveau Scottish sterling silver thistle pin with an amber crystal c1900. Beloved by Arts and Crafts fans, this pin has both Art Nouveau as well as A&C style. Made and signed by Charles Horner (1837-96), this 1-3/4 x 5/8" bar or tie pin has a safety pin style catch and it is stamped STERLNG C.H. It weighs 2.4 grams, and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs...

Though it is not uncommon to find Mexican silver fur pins, it is usually single pieces that are available. Here, however, there is a pair bearing the signature of the Los Castillo in a “bow and flower” design. I am not sure if the workshop ever made a whole parure available in this specific design - I have had the small bow necklace / bracelet sets in the past but this is an enhanced version, with more elements added to the bow and the bow itself bigger and fancier...

Vintage solid 14K Yellow Gold Fire Opal Ring Looped swirl design, there is a appraisal by a jeweler named Ron L. Ainsworth he was working for John Grandall(please refer to picture of appraisal) please note that the appraisal was done Oct. 5 1979. An unusual and handsome 14K yellow gold tie bar designed as a Gothic-style strap hinge by Larter & Sons. When not being used to hold a tie in place, the piece could also be used as a money clip. The design is nicely detailed with beveled edges and raised bolts. The back is stamped with Larter's hallmark. A beautifully-carved hardstone cameo depicting Libertas, the Roman goddess of liberty. She can be identified from the shape of the diadem she wears in her hair. The image is quite similar to American "Morgan" silver dollars from the late 19th century. The color contrast of the stone is quite remarkable. Beautiful vintage engraved chain necklace with a toggle closure, in gunmetal gray. Not marked but the style of chain, and the overall look, is characteristically French, and it came from an estate with other signed French jewelry. Probably 1970s. Perfectly on trend; oversized chains and gray tones are key current looks.

These stylish 1960’s design 14Kt yellow gold and cabochon coral earrings are from the famed San Francisco department store Gump’s. Each earring is centered by a 12 X 16 millimeter oval cabochon pale colored coral set in a bezel with double row rope frame, and omega backs.

A repousse bracelet worked with great skill and signed JVE. A nice size being 1.25in. wide and approximately 40 grams of heavy repousse. The length is 7.25in. of comfort with no damage. The floral motif is on a thick silver base.

These 1960s Scandinavian earrings have distinctive, lacy frames, each set with a cabochon carnelian in a bezel mounting. The clip backs are marked S925 and are original; the earrings are probably Danish. The earrings measure ½ inch wide.

An interesting late Retro 14K yellow gold bracelet worked as a series of sextupled cable links that are slightly flattened so they splay out sideways to create a wide bracelet with a sort of optical illusion effect. The clasp is decorated so the bracelet appears seamless when being worn. The open link design makes this a perfect bracelet to wear on its own or with chunky, heavy charms. The interior of the clasp is marked “14K.”
