This is an absolutely gorgeous necklace created by Nestor. The elaborate centerpiece measures 2 15/16" wide and features a huge lab created purple stone in a four pronged setting. A pair of sterling silver screw back earrings in a mid century modernist design. We have seen only one other pair in almost the exact design signed Ed Wiener. Constructed of a layer of oxidized sterling with a contrasting polished curved sterling wire overlay.

Outstanding late Art Nouveau Continental silver cufflinks with a wonderful design of a gold spider sitting in her niello web. The workmanship and design is quite original and accomplished. The backs are marked with unidentified Continental (possibly German) marks, including the jeweler’s mark “HF”.

The best gift to a tennis player is this 14Kt yellow gold tennis racket. The center of the racket is decorated by a 4 millimeter cultured pearl. Given the size 12 millimeter wide and 36 millimeter high with the jump ring, it can be worn as a pendant or put on a charm bracelet.

I have seen these brooches described as unsigned Hattie Carnegie or unsigned Kenneth Jay Lane. The colors are fabulous and the detail is wonderful. An unusual color combination.

Toucans are the Brazilian symbol for the Amazon Forest where they reside. They are predators and hunters sand have astounding eye-site to see small prey through the dense leaf canopy of the jungle. The pin is 3" tall x 1 3/4" wide.

A very uniquely shaped broach/pendant is this 14Kt white gold filigree shell cameo from the 1920-s depicting the silhouette of a young lady. Art nouveau elements are incorporated in the designs of the cameo carving as well as the shape of the broach resembling a flower basket. The 1 7/8” wide and 1 3/8” high broach has a fold down bail that makes it wearable as a pendant.

This Yao necklace and matching pair of earrings have added beads and long silk tassels. Both are light weight and easy to wear. The earrings are hollow with the same repeated design pattern on the backside. The wire loop may be a bit thick as they were made to accommodate the large ear holes which are traditional for the Chinese minority groups. These loops could easily be changed out for posts or a thinner wire hoop.

This pendant measures 1 3/4" x 1" (x 3/8"). It is an textured, oxidized, silver plaque, surmounted by silver, textured, biomorphic portion. It is circa 1960's and in excellent condition. It also has good heft.

This very Victorian grooming chatelaine is from the 1800s. It has a Chinese fish motif at the top, and dangling from that are 3 implements: a tweezers, one for cleaning nails, and an ear-cleaning device. (We saw a similar chatelaine on eBay, and the ear-cleaning implement was advertised as a device for opium users, but we don’t think so! However, as non-opium users, we could be wrong ….) It is unmarked but tests positive for silver, and with a patina consistent with age...

This extremely exciting and entertaining piece is circa 1970s. It is slightly convex. The back is marked with the eagle number 20, STERLING. Charles Horner was a major maker of Arts & Craft enamel pieces. This necklace is simple, with its shaded green and blue enamel and pleasingly elegant sterling silver frame. It is signed Charles Horner and is on a 14" chain. The hallmarks indicate it is sterling and was made in Chester in 1912-3. The enamel pendant is 3/4 X 1".

A fun piece of sporting jewelry depicting a crossed pair of croquet mallets and a coral ball inside the wicket. The banded agate stone is black with a single white line and has never been engraved. Croquet became fashionable among the English elite in 1856 when when the first book of croquet rules was published and the All England Croquet Club was formed at Wimbledon. The fob is stamped “10 ct.”

A whimsical Retro 18K yellow gold, amazonite and ruby brooch in the form of a stork. The turquoise coloring of the amazonite against the red of the ruby eye is very attractive. A handsome pair of modernist cufflinks worked as concave silver discs centering collet-set amber cabochons with applied beads to the setting. The amber has a beautiful honey color and an abundance of the highly-prized natural discoid inclusions called “sun spangles”. Not much is known - if anything at all - about Ars Plata whose signature is found on the Mexican silver and amethyst dangle earrings at hand. Bille Hougart lists an "Art Plat." in his book on Mexican silver hallmarks but I am not sure the two workshops / retailers (?) are the same. The pansy carries the message "Think of me" in the Victorian language of flowers. Certainly, the giver of this beautiful enameled gold pansy ring will be thought of often and fondly. The beautiful violet, cream, yellow and black enamels have a velvety texture to suggest the feel of a real pansy's petals and the whole is set off by a sparkling old mine cut diamond at the center. Originally a Victorian stick pin, this flower is now ready for daily wear with the addition of a 14K gold split shank.

Large and glamorous, the color combination of rich purple and deep blue cabochons accentuated by tiny pearls makes for a stunning necklace. The unusual shape of the bib provides a prominent and dramatic display when worn. The bottom of the bib is 12" across, 3 1/2" high. The necklace is approximately 16" end to end.
