Spratling described this stunning design as "a wide Aztec bracelet with framed buttons" according to Goddard's spratlingsilver.com. It was one of Spratling's most popular designs in the 1930's - 1940's and still is today. Weighing 185 grams, the bracelet measures 2" high at the front with 1 1/8" opening at the back. The interior measures 2 1/2" across the inside. The bracelet is in beautiful condition with an aged patina. The design is also referred to as River of Life bracelet.

Being offered is a circa 1940-1945 —very very early— .970 silver (better than sterling) necklace by Antonio Pineda of Taxco, Mexico, handcrafted silver heart shaped links with incised detail; tongue & box closure. Dimensions necklace size 17 wearable . Marked. In excellent condition. Great weight of almost 7 ozs.

An Art Deco style sterling silver bracelet from Mexico with four bezel set amethyst carved masks alternating with domes and curved bars. The stones have some inclusions. We have seen the same bracelet with the FD mark for Fred Davis.

Marked Sterling Mexico on the clasp. Measures 7 1/4" long and 1 1/8" wide. Box clasp holds securely. Has some minor surfaces scratches, a few dings on the sides, some tiny flea bites to the amethyst and a little tarnish.

This signed Hector Aguilar cuff is sophisticated and suitable to wear anywhere with the black dress or jeans. The design is sections of hand carved scallops when put one after another resembles clouds. The gap is 1 inch and is 1 5/8th's inches tall. The diameter is currently at 2.25in. 104 grams of silver is guiding the quality and a natural patina adds to it's beauty. This can be sized one size up or down by a professional jeweler. The vining floral from the vessel has great depth with 940 silver and dark natural patina from time. The weight is 66 grams heavy with a drop of 3.5in. tall and 4in. span across. This does not count the additional 2 vining links that are separate at the top so it is more expansive than just the pectoral drop. It lays like a dream with a wearable of a minimum of 17in. The hallmark of MS stylized and 940 is a noted maker in The Mexican Silver Book of Trade by Bille Hougart...

This elegant necklace by Los Castillo features thick links in the shape of Leaves done in heavy sterling silver repousse. Very well made with links connected by a pin rivet to give the piece movement. Measures 15" long, 3/4" wide and is nice and heavy at 98.4 grams. Hallmarked Los Castillo Taxco, Sterling Made in Mexico, 329 and the eagle 15. It has a secure box clasp and is in good condition with a lovely patina. One of the nicest (and heaviest) examples of this design we've seen.

This Trifari 'Alfred Philippe" small fruit salad wheelbarrow clip is rhodium plated base metal, with rhinestones, and fruit salads. It is hallmarked Trifari with a crown, Des Pat. No 125185.

This Los Castillo design 262 is an early one created when Margot Van Voorhies was married to Don Antonio Castillo. I believe these early pieces are the very best of her work. Stunning in size with an almost 2 inches of height and a weight of 84 grams of almost pure 980 silver. The condition reflects no damage and also well cared for over time. The diameter is 2.25 inches with the gap set at 1in. This can be professionally adjusted for most to fit. One of the best from the Spratling Era.

Rarely available on the market this vintage, sculptural design by Taxco, Mexico artist Antonio Pineda is simply stunning. Hubert Harmons' whimsical designs never fail to bring a smile and provoke thought. His c. 1940's mask pendant or belt buckle is 5 1/2" across X 2 1/4 high. A 14K gold and natural ruby Retro figural brooch worked in fashioned as a stem of cherries. The fruit are fully three-dimensional and set with round unheated natural rubies. The design is finished with a gnarly branch and a pair of gold leaves. The rubies have fine clarity and intense color, without the pinkish cast frequently seen in rubies in Retro pieces. The back retains the original pinstem and clasp marked “14K”.

This Trifari Alfred Philippe sterling jelly belly fly brooch is vermeil with rhinestones and lucite jelly belly. It is hallmarked Trifari with crown, Des Pat No 137200, Sterling. It is in super condition. It measures 2" x 1 3/4". This is the large fly. Circa 1945 designed by Alfred Philippe.

Lucite jelly bellies were copied from figurals originally done in gold and rock crystal.

Hand wrought, this large, detailed, sterling silver belt buckle was created c.1940's by Taxco, Mexico artist Hubert Harmon. Vintage Circa 1945 early pre assay Mexican Pre Columbian design puffy cheek bird man mask Maya or Aztec ethnographic motif repousse pin with a bird or serpent on its headdress.
Mark: Made in Mexico Sterling - with old style safety clasp hinge.
A most talented silversmith took a sheet of sterling and hammered it onto a pitch bowl to create such repousse detail. Because it is holloware one looks for the air escape openings which in this case are found at one ear.

These great earrings are made by NAPEIR, during the 1950's-1960's. They were designed during NAPIER's sterling silver line that incorporated floral motifs and geometric shapes. This impressive 2 3/4" sterling silver cuff studded with 30 amethyst cabs was hallmarked c. 1940 by Manuel Altamirano, senior silversmith in Hector Aguilar's Taller Borda. Ca 1940 A heavy, solid sterling choker and bracelet by Jensen USA designer, Laurence Foss( 1920-2014). It features hand applied, raised sterling leaves with beading. The choker weighs 63 grams, is approximately 16" in length and just shy of 1/2" in width. Both the bracelet and choker are marked with the LF logo, sterling, 450. The bracelet weighs 29 grams and is 7"x 1/2".

A pre-1948 pair of vintage Mexican silver earrings of exceptional design that goes with all Matl pieces. The color of the stones is a turquoise green. These are 2 in. tall and 2.75in. wide at the widest. The weight is 8.5 grams heavy. Properly hallmarked as shown with ICM, these earrings are remarkable and rare.
