This wonderful brooch exhibits a foliate, flowering branch motif. Its 3 circular, petals are slightly convex with striations to central buds. The curved stems are adorned with the same buds / balls (just a bit larger). This piece measures 1 5/8" x 1 1/4" x 1/4". The back is marked STERLING with the Carl - Art (CA with an arrow through it) maker's mark: Carl-Art, Inc. Providence, Rhode Island). This pin is circa 1950's or 60's. It has good heft and is in excellent condition.

Spring is never too far away when you see a swallow. This unique 14Kt gold retro broach captures a moment of tenderness as a swallow is feeding its offspring in their nest. The bird has a ruby eye and seven rose cut diamonds decorate its wings. The intricately woven nest holds the three fledglings represented by three 5 millimeter cultured pearls. The broach measure 1 ¾” high and the width is the same 1 ¾”.

Circa early 1940's, this is a superb slinky chain bracelet from William Spratling. It's a heavy handwrought piece, with a closed, wearable length of 7 1/2" and a width of 7/8". Classy and elegant, and feels fabulous on the wrist. Signed and hallmarked with the WS Print Circle "Spratling Made in Mexico WS", and Spratling Silver. Weight is 115.2 grams. Excellent vintage condition, collector quality. Silver tested to be 98% purity.

Coiled aluminum wire ring made without soldering, in the style of Alexander Calder, c.1950's. Has large circular design and measures 1 1/4" in diameter. The ring is cleverly designed so that the band is set towards the edge rather than the mid section. Hence it lays comfortably on the finger. Ed Wiener also used this technique(see back photo). This dramatic necklace is composed of linked panels of various shapes, decorated with applied brass wirework and pink stone beads, possibly untreated tourmaline. The modified figure-eight chain is brass. It dates around 1960, and the design is often attributed to the Mexican jeweler Maya, although there is only a partial mark for Mexico on the back. The necklace measures approximately 18 ½ inches long; the pendant measures 6 ½ inches long by 2 3/4 inches wide.

This faceted helotrope Trifari bracelet is 7" long and 9/16" wide. The back is a silver metal color with a fold over clasp. The stones are bright and the plating is in perfect original condition.

A superb and witty pair of 14K yellow and rose gold cufflinks in the shape of a cocktail glass. The bowl and foot are worked in yellow gold and the stem in pink gold. Looking inside the bowls, there's a little surprise--bright coral cherries with rose gold stems! These are possibly the most unique Deco figural cufflinks we have found. You know you'll live a life of good luck when you're wearing this 14K gold upturned horseshoe pendant necklace. A Georgian 14k glass emerald and diamonds ring circa 1780-1800. This antique yellow gold (unmarked but tested and guaranteed) ring features a 3/8" across top which has claw set early silver coloured genuine rose cut diamonds surrounding an emerald coloured glass stone. Emeralds then were a scarce and difficult stone to acquire, so the use of a cut glass "gem" with diamonds was not unusual. Spratling designed this eye catching "entwined hands" buckle in the late 1940's. Measuring 5" X 2 1/4" & weighing 49 grams the piece is in beautiful condition. The back loops will accommodate up to a 1 inch strap. The buckle can also be worn as a pendant. Spratling also designed a similar "hands" necklace. Hallmarks are WS 925. A later version, (c.1965) of this buckle appears on p. 147 of WILLIAM SPRATLING AND THE MEXICAN SILVER RENAISSANCE by Penny Morrill.

This late 19th-century sterling silver bar pin is formed as four graduated medallions with classical military profiles. It was made by the Frank M. Whiting Co. of North Attleboro, MA, and bears the maker’s mark on the back. The features of the faces are sharply molded and detailed. There is a modified C-clasp on the back. The pin measures 2 1/4 inches long and about 3/4 inch at its widest part.

This sleek deco style pendant is from the 1960's and made of 14Kt yellow gold. It is centered by a bezel set 10 X 12 millimeter caboshon oval lapis. The pendant measures 1 3/8" in height and 1 1/8" in width. The weight is 8.5 grams which makes this wonderfully cast pendant relatively heavy for its size. It would look exquisite on any chain as well as on a collar or an Omega necklace.

Unmarked unsigned tested sterling silver pendant necklace with old spring ring closure. Unsigned maybe Arts Crafts or Art Deco era, yet mostly hand made in the Modernism and Arts Crafts tradition. A wonderful 18K yellow gold cocktail ring featuring a "forma livre" (free-form) green tourmaline by the famed mid-century Brazilian designer Haroldo Burle Marx. Burle Marx invented the technique of carving and tumbling forma livre stones in 1948, and the style became his signature. The tourmaline has a deep green color with just a tiny hint of blue undertones, and is set in a florentined finished typical of Burle Marx's work. The interior of the shank is fully signed with Burle Marx's marks.
