A vintage sterling silver brooch with a high domed shaped light brown stone, (probably smoky topaz), cabochon by Elis Kauppi for Kupittaan Kulta of Finland. This modernist brooch measures 2 1/4" across and 1" high. Reminiscent of Native American designs. Marked with Kauppi's anvil mark, Sterling and Finland. Has an earlier style trombone clasp which holds securely. Fine condition. Wonderful example of Scandinavian modernist jewelry.

The top of this sterling silver modernist ring appears to be made of hand-cast drip-like elements that are incised and polished. It is attached to the flattened band on a short pedestal so that the top rises about 3/16 of an inch about the band. The inside of the band is marked Handmade Sterling and bears the impressed mark of G:son Liedholm, which may indicate Magnus Liedholm, a Swedish maker. The ring is sized at 7 1/4. Weight: 9.6 grams

A stunning mid-19th century brooch featuring a pansy, the lower petals set with rose cut diamonds and the upper petals with buff-cut amethysts of a deep violet hue. The colorful flower is simply presented against a plain gold background. In Victorian flower language, the pansy represented the sentiment "Think of me" and jewels with pansies were often given as love tokens or going away gifts. The brooch could easily be converted to a pendant with the addition of a bail at the back...

This elegant stickpin features a stylized flower design, based on a Japanese family crest. It is marked “k20” on the back, and tests as a very strong 20kt, so it might be finer. The flower head measures 1/2 x 7/8”, and the whole pin is 2-1/2” long. It weighs 2.4g. This lovely pair of art deco cuff links has a formal look, the result of a black mother-of-pearl background. Each eight-sided button is framed by an embossed white metal rim; the centers are set with tiny faux seed pearls. The backs and bridges are gilded, and bear the block-letter mark for Krementz, of Newark, NJ. Each button measures 1/2 inch wide.

This pretty ring consists of a flower made of six pearl “petals” (one of which is a replacement), centered by a tiny rose cut diamond. There is a compartment underneath, perhaps for storing a lock of hair, but no glass. The ring tests as a very strong 14kt, so it is probably 15kt (and therefore English). A heavy 18K yellow gold lantern-shaped fob charm decorated with ornate beading and twisted wirework in the Victorian Etruscan Revival style. The fob is further enhanced with vermicelli stippled engraving on the upper shoulders—an unusual treatment. The sides are set with navette-shaped carnelian cabochons in scalloped collet settings.
