This beautiful watercolor seascape done in New England in Plein Aire by the artist know for his beautiful seascapes

Watercolor on heavy watercolor paper, 10 1/2" by 14 1/4" inside the mat, 19" by 22" as framed, not signed, the subject a coconut palm at left, with a schooner-type sailboat in the distance beyond a narrow spit of land, a white gull overhead. The work probably dates to the 1950's or early 1960's...

For the Hawaiiana fans, here is a clean Hale Pua anthuriums print, 13 3/4" by 10 3/4" (24 1/2" by 20 1/2" framed). Close up magnification shows it to be some kind of later photo of an original airbrush painting, I believe (offset printing-type dots visible with a magnifier). The color seems to be just printed on rather than airbrushed, the signature, likewise. You need a magnifying glass to tell the difference...

Pencil signed at lower right and bearing "Artist's Proof" at lower left is this etching, 10 3/4" by 8 1/2" inside the mat, 18 3/4" by 15 3/4" as framed, by the noted late American artist JACK LEVINE (1915-2010). Levine, deceased in 2010 at the age of 95, will be remembered as an artist who bucked the modernism trends to pursue his own trail in social satire, caricature, and "Hebraism". He was born in Boston and was exposed to the grittier aspects of street life...

A vintage oil on canvas painting of a hardy desert shrub tree in the California dry lands, 24" by 20" (32 1/2" by 28 1/2" framed), signed at lower right by listed artist CYRIL ALDRITT (1899-1966). The luminous impressionist work was obviously created by a trained hand. Aldritt was a native of New York, but grew up in Hollywood...

Watercolor on paper, 12 1/2" by 18 1/4" inside the present mat, 19 1/2" by 26" as framed, signed "TOWNLEY" at lower right corner and dated there "Oct. 68". I do not see a listing that would match up with this name but the artist was obviously a talented individual. This appears to be a mountain landscape in one of the western states. The trees and the animals are beautifully executed, and there is a superb little ink drawing of a fox near the signature...

Adolf Dahn was a Scandinavian born artist who worked in watercolor and is know for his rich landscapes. This work measuring 12x18” is a rare size Signed and dated 1938

Impressionist oil on wood panel painting of coastal islands and a religious shrine perched on a scenic rise, 13 3/4" by 16 3/4" as framed, signed in Greek at lower right. This work has some age, dating perhaps to mid-century. The surface is a bit soiled and the frame has some wear at top corners as seen. A Greek speaker has seen the signature and advises me it reads "Kaitatze" in English, or similar.

This is a painting on artist board, 22" by 14" inside its narrow modern framing, titled on the reverse in ball point pen "Avocado Tree", signed at lower right "Harry Lieberman" and dated there "62". HARRY LIEBERMAN (1876-1983) was a Polish-born, long-lived artist who didn't begin his artistic career until late in life. Lieberman had been preparing for the rabbinate but emigrated to the United States in 1906 when nearly thirty (some give his date of birth as 1880 rather than 1876)...

A nicely crafted oil on wood panel painting of an ancient castle or coastal fortification, likely Italy, signed at lower left "Tiboni". The piece measures 7" by 11" (13" by 16 1/4" nicely framed). The work was likely created in the 1950's or 1960's. Written in pencil on reverse is "70 Pounds" (actually, symbol for British Pounds). A light cleaning would be beneficial but not mandatory. The piece is of a nice size that would fit many smaller walls.
