Oil on canvasboard painting of a green coast, a stand of foreground trees in late autumn colors giving fine depth to the scene. The artist did not sign the work, which likely dates to the 1950's judging from frame and board. There is a small area of flaked paint in the trunk of the most prominent tree. Surrealist Women Figures by Deneraux, Mixed Media, 40 x 30, Frame Size 43 x 33 .

A vintage study in charcoal of an infant on its back, 12" by 15" (16" by 19" framed), signed at lower right with what appears as "H Collins", and dated adjacent Sept. 14, 1953. I do not see a listed name that would correspond with this name or variants of it. The study is artistic, reminiscent of timeless Italian Renaissance drawings. There is age toning of the paper and some lighter, whitish areas at lower left, above the infant's left arm, and at lower right.

This is an appealing little sketch, oil on board of a landscape with a line of trees, a tawny field, a few structures and an extensive view beyond, unsigned, circa 1940's or 1950's. It is obviously by a talented artist who failed to sign his or her name. Perhaps it is a study for a more finished painting to come. Measuring 12" by 16", it should be easy to find a (common, "standard size") suitable frame. Condition is good save for a stubbed, worn corner at upper extreme right, as shown.
