A member of the Royal Academy, the Royal Watercolor Society, and the Royal Society of British Artists, he was knighted in 1924.

A beautifully executed oil on canvas painting by George Harland, a noted British artist. The scene depicts a man returning in a rowboat at dusk. It combines elements of luminism and impressionism, and was done when both of those styles were in fashion. Harland was a highly thought of painter and was exhibited at the Royal Academy in London in 1907.

A pen and ink with grey wash drawing on laid paper of mostly sail boats in what appears to be an estuary with a substantial building in the distance and an expansive sky framed in an older, probably early 20th century, mat and worn gilt frame. On the back of the drawing in pencil are various writings including, “Van de Velde” in the upper left corner. Small oil on canvas laid on board painting of a desert, mid to late 20th century, 4 1/2" by 6 1/2" (11 1/2" by 10" framed), signed at lower right by California desert painter KENNETH WALFORD. This is a rather typical example of the work of this artist. I have handled a number of Walford's works. Most feature desert landscapes. Biographical information on the artist seems to be scarce at this time. The painting is lightly soiled, linen liner is stained at upper right.

Antique watercolor painting of a castle-like structure in an extensive landscape, 7 1/4" by 10 7/8", 14" by 17" in frame, signed with initials "M.
