Manuel Robbe French This is an original aquatint etching by French artist Manuel Robbe. The title is; Fleur d'Automne, created and printed in 1903 in an edition of 65, this one is numbered as 55/65 lower left border and hand signed in pencil lower right border. The image measures 19 1/2X14 7/8 inches. Printed on a medium weight laid type paper. This image appears in the Merrill Chase catalog as image number 46. Fine rich impression.

An impressionistic watercolor painting of a tree and brushy field, 9" by 8" (13" by 12" in wood frame), signed at lower left and dated there 1929 by artist EMMY LOU OSBORNE. I do not see biographical information on the artist but clearly she was a talented watercolorist. Condition is excellent.

A 1978-dated, oil on board painting of a Mid-Century looking building, apparently under construction, in an urban setting, signed at lower right "JAN BAZANOWSKI". The work, 17" by 23" inside the double mat and 24" by 30" in gold metal frame (no glass) is in excellent condition. Frame has some scratches and mat is soiled and could be replaced. The painting is simply very interesting, and unusual; would work well in a Mid-Century setting...

This is a really beautifully painted oil on a coarse, almost burlap canvas, the subject a sun-dappled yard of a house or other Spanish-California type structure populating old and established affluent communities such as Pasadena or Santa Barbara, tables and chairs in this little paradise awaiting the next social occasion. The work measures 16" by 20", UNFRAMED (the first image, with gold frame, is for display purposes only...again, the item will be sold UNFRAMED)...

His work and papers are at Yale University and some of his works are in the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. This work is graphite on paper, in a silver deco frame that measures 18x29 inches…....

Lithograph of a bull in what appears to be a stark Southwestern landscape, 12" by 13 3/4" as framed, pencil signed at lower right margin by listed WPA era American artist CHARLES EARLE MILLER (1907-) and with notation "Ed. 30" at center margin. The image is a very powerful one, similar to the work of Peter Hurd, in some ways. Miller was a painter, etcher and lithographer. I see a number of works online dated in the late 1930's and early 1940's, but after that the trail is difficult to follow...

Oil on board painting (24" by 18", frame 1 1/4" on a side), the subject a dirt road in a flaming autumn forest landscape, birch trees on either side, the sun dappled shadows violet, signed at lower right by the talented artist GEORGE FOREST PAYNE. Payne does not seem to have a biography but his paintings of autumn landscapes and coastal dunes, in the Northeast, have appeared at auction. This piece was found in Maine. Most certainly he was very familiar with Impressionist technique...

Framing circa mid 1960's included the old fashioned detail-dulling non-glare glass which should be discarded. The work measures 14" by 10" inside the mat and 19 1/2" by 14 1/2" framed...
