A finely painted watercolor portrait of a good looking gentleman wearing a black jacket and a white shirt, stock and collar. The talented artist specifically painted the entire piece in shades of white, black, and gray. Note the way he used white highlighting on the left collar and shoulder of the sitter to give a sense of depth to the piece.

This 1862 oil on canvas by the British artist Alfred Vickers measures 11 3/4 x 15 3/4 inches, signed and dated l.l., housed in original frame, partial European label on back. Born in London, Vickers was a self-taught landscape painter, who exhibited at the British Institute and the Royal Academy.

A simple yet elegant sepia brown ink portrait drawing of a woman, on paper laid on card, measuring 9" by 6 1/4", unframed, signed at lower center and dated 1921. The work is signed nearby by important Mexican artist ANGEL ZARRAGA (1886-1946), and is inscribed "Bonne annee a Madame Maria Steiner et aux sieus". On reverse is written in later, American hand, "Portrait of Marie Steiner Lintott by Angel Zarraga Paris 1921"...

Hand signed in pencil lower right also with the windmill blindstamp and copyright information in the upper left corner. 19th Century American School 1800-1899 American Artists This is an original oil on canvas painting of an Ox and Cart coming down the road. The painting has 3 intials lower right, they seem to read: "W. ?. S." Weve been unable to make out who the artist was. We feel the painting is from the late 1890's and is most likely American in origin. The painting was expertly done. The canvas laid on board measures 19X13 inches and is in a 19th century gilt frame.

A miniature of a beautiful young child who unfortunately passed away in 1798. The theme here is blue and white: in the clouds, in Harriet's eyes, and the ribbon in her hair. In contrast to that are the small areas where red makes its appearance: in the necklace, the child's lips and cheeks, and, to a lesser extent, in her hair.
