Antique watercolor painting of five rabbits in a grassy scene, feasting on several peaches, some reduced to just pits. The charming work measures 5 1/4" by 6 7/8" (and the old gold turn of the century frame is 11 1/4" by 13 1/4"). Frame is in above average condition for a frame of its type and period, with just one gold-painted area at left edge where there had been some loss of the design.

John Winkler, American, 1894-1979, "Standard Fisheries". This 1941 etching by John Winkler measures 13 1/2 x 8 1/4 inches and is pencil signed. Winkler was originally from Austria coming to America at the age 16. After various jobs he impulsively enrolled in the San Francisco Art Institute and soon discovered his talent as an etcher. An early (early 20th century) unframed watercolor of the brick buildings of San Francisco's Chinatown, unsigned, 11 1/2" by 7 1/2", from the collection of a longtime San Francisco art dealer. The work includes a number of figures in traditional Chinese clothing, along with the ornamental grillwork of some balconies overlooking the street in these post-Gold Rush buildings. The artist could be any number of listed artists, or perhaps, a talented amateur. There is light foxing in the sky.

A PAIR of lithographs, one of a male, another of a woman, the larger work 24" by 17 3/4" inside the mat (28 1/2" by 22 1/4" framed), the other 19" by 16 3/4" (23 1/2" by 21" framed), both signed in Hebrew in the plate, the larger print numbered 1/50 at lower left in pencil. The works are in black ink though the larger piece exhibits faint blue in the background and light red in the cap. The larger piece has two short edge tears, one at upper left (about 2"), the other at top (about 3/4").

This carved lapis lazuli melon shape snuff bottle is 2 ½ inches tall, 1 ¾ inches wide and 1 ¼ inches thick. The artist carved a large melon as the snuff bottle and a smaller melon with leaf and spouts as decoration. The snuff bottle is well hollowed but has some natural flaws. It is in great condition.
