Old circa 1950 painting on board of the majestic Grand Canyon in Arizona, apparently unsigned, measuring 17 3/4" by 22", plus pleasingly old patterned frame, 1 3/4" wide on a side. The artist had talent but the work is also fairly primitive, in a charming way. A lot of effort went into painting this. I would almost describe it as folk art. A lovely highly impressionist oil on board painting of coffee pots and creamers on a table, apparently unsigned, and of vintage age, possibly 1930's or 1940's I believe. The work measures 14 1/2" by 15 1/4" (18" by 18 1/2" framed). On the reverse of the old board is written in old hand in pencil what appears as "Robert Swasey/327 Spring St./Portland Maine". I have looked for the name Robert Swasey in standard art search sites and have not located a known recognized painter by this name...

This is an original etching, 11" by 16 1/2" (17" by 21" as framed), by American artist Kerr Eby (1889-1946). The title of the work is "Cattle Ford", and it was executed in 1945, in an edition of 100 apparently. Eby was born in Tokyo to Canadian missionaries but was in the United States by age 3. At 18 he went to New York City for art education, working for a lithographic firm to enhance his financial situation, gaining valuable experience that served him well later in life...

This is a fragment of a larger 18th century European religious painting. The painting is very well painted in oil on wood with a gesso layer and depicts the thorn crowned head of Christ.

Oil on canvas extensive view of a town of red-roofed houses by the sea, a colorful garden and balustrade railing in the foreground, executed by an unknown artist, likely in the latter years of the 20th century. The artist painted a highly impressionistic work (27" by 31", 35 1/2" by 40" framed) in cheerful, light, sunny colors.
