A pen and ink with grey wash drawing on laid paper of mostly sail boats in what appears to be an estuary with a substantial building in the distance and an expansive sky framed in an older, probably early 20th century, mat and worn gilt frame. On the back of the drawing in pencil are various writings including, “Van de Velde” in the upper left corner. Though the writing is considerably later than the drawing it is a solid attribution to the Van de Velde family of painters...
