One of a number of William Russell Flint prints in my shop, this is a fresh and clean example of the fine color photolithographs issued for collectors over a period of decades. This example, published in 1939 in an edition of 306, is signed in pencil at lower right and bears the characteristic embossed blindstamp in lower left margin. The title is "Provencale Granary". The 1939 date would place this among the earlier prints in the long series that spanned decades...

Colorful watercolor on paper of a ceramic figure with copper pot and summer fruit, measuring 6 1/2" by 5 7/8" (13" by 12 3/4" as framed, no glass), likely the work of noted American artist FREDERIC GRANT (1886-1959). The work is apparently unsigned, but, on the original framing paper appears in a modern hand "BY FREDERICK GRANT"; originally there was also an old framer's sticker from Chicago but it has apparently dropped off since I purchased this...

Old watercolor painting of Yosemite National Park's famous "Tunnel Tree", signed at lower right by artist J. M. Stewart. The tree became famous after the drive-through tunnel was cut through it in 1881, making it an instant tourist attraction and one of the wonders of the astounding west. The tree fell in a storm in 1969, at which time it was estimated to be 2,100 years old. It had reached a height of 234 feet. The tunnel was 7 feet wide, 9 feet high and 26 feet long at the base...

A gouache on paper painting of a vase with white flowers, blue on white plates, green bowl with cherries, a decorative leaded window beyond, the work signed at lower right corner with what appears as "Louise Brentnall" and dated there 44 (or, I think less likely, 77). The piece measures 9 1/4" by 7" (12 3/4" by 10 3/4" in simple strip frame). I do not see an artist by this name, if I am reading the name correctly. I thought it might read "Louise Brumback", but that artist died in 1929. So, ...

A vintage circa 1930's watercolor of old two story hotels on a block in Oakdale, in California's Central Valley, between San Francisco and Yosemite, signed at lower right by listed California woman artist ESTELLA HOISHOLT (1889-1979). The buildings are of brick and a quaint, older style rarely seen nowadays in California, countless earthquakes having taken their toll on masonry buildings. Several figures linger around the hotels, and water is reflected in the foreground of what may be an unpav...

**PAIR** of oil on board paintings (each 14" by 11", plus framing 1 1/4" wide), of nymphs clad only in diaphanous veils, dancing in classical poses in forested landscapes, rays of light selectively illuminating the scenes. The works are by New England artist ROBERT C. WOODBERRY (1874-). Woodberry was born in Massachusetts and appears to have spent most of his life in New England, painting mostly landscapes. He was a student of W. D. Hamilton, and, at the Academie Julian in Paris, of Jean Paul...

The watercolor on paper work measures 14 1/2" by 11 1/2" (25 1/2" by 21 1/2" in interesting frame, with drawn lines mat). The landscape could be Canadian as well but without more information on the artist it is difficult to determine authorship. Found in the mountain states of the west. Condition is outstanding, considering th...
