An oil on canvas painting, 36 1/4" by 26", (44 1/2" by 34" framed), relined circa mid 20th century, no apparent signature present, nor attribution available. The weave of the canvas suggests a work pre-dating the 19th century. The painting is reminiscent of Italian Renaissance imagery and strongly suggestive of Italian origin.. Very RARE Engraving of Charles V, Holy Roman Emperor. Bust length portrait facing left, wearing armor and the badge of the Order of the Golden Fleece. The portrait sits within an oval frame bearing the Latin inscription 'IMP. CAES. CAROLVS V. AVG.' The frame has been set into an alcove featuring fluted Doric columns, an eagle, swags of fruit and allegorical female figures, such as those of Germany and Africa at the bottom of the plate. Oil on canvas painting of a classic red barn in Alaska's Matanuska Valley near Anchorage, signed at lower left by artist Ted Goldstone and dated 3/69 and titled on stretcher. The Matanuska Valley is known as Alaska's prime agricultural area. The long hours of daylight in summer have produced record cabbages, among other produce. The high surrounding mountains remind one that one is in Alaska and not the Midwest. The art measures 16" by 12".

The paper is of a less-finished type that may be akin to newsprint. Print has slight creases in places but overall is in good clean condition.
