Original sculpture (polymer clay over wire) by Robert Lohman (American, 1919-2001). This works is signed "Lohman" and dated 1972 on the base. It measures 23 1/2" in height. Offered in good original condition. Robert Lohman studied at the John Herron Art Institute as well as Cranbrook and Yale. He assisted Carl Milles at Cranbrook before becoming Director of Fine Arts (1947-1949). Lohman also taught at Washington University in Saint-Louis, and at the Indianapolis Art League...

Description: Absolutely stunning miniature painting of a charming and extremely pretty lady in magnificent and colorful dress. The painting is signed by the artist and his close attention to facial expression and detail is amazing and he has rendered Louis XV style perfectly .Size: The portrait is 2" in height and 1 1/2" wide, in very good condition and surrounded by machine turned oval frame set in a fancy rectangular 5 1/8"H X 3 1/2"W gilt frame with open work top and easel-back...

Circa 1970 oil on canvas, 16" by 12" (20 1/2" by 16 1/4" framed), signed at lower left "Joyce". The scene with yellow roses and oriental ceramic figure takes after artists such as Hovsep Pushman and others who in the first half of the 20th century favored such props in their still life works. This is evenly soiled, with some browned varnish too. Otherwise condition is good. The white frame shows some wear.

A set of eight framed collotype color prints after paintings by famous western American artist FREDERIC REMINGTON (1861-1909), originally published by Collier's Magazine, which had a contract with Remington. He was to paint a painting a month, and the prints derived from the painting would be widely distributed. The prints all bear in tiny type at lower left margin "COPYRIGHT 1909 BY P.F. COLLIER & SON"...

Oil on canvas coastal scene of a sandy beach with small breaking waves, rugged coastal rock formations in the distance, signed at lower left by contemporary artist Brian Babinski, titled on the stretcher "Baker Beach, Trinidad, California", and dated there 1985. Trinidad is in far northwest California, near the Oregon line. The large work, 24" by 36" (32 1/2" by 44 1/2 framed) is quite impressively detailed and meticulously painted...

A most unusual item and conversation piece: a color print, 26" by 22" as framed, the subject a decorated Christmas tree, titled at top "Joy to the World", "Arnold & Maria" at bottom center, numbered 31/100 examples at lower left margin, and pencil signed at lower right, by none other than one of the most famous people on the planet, Arnold Schwarzenegger...

A rather elegant landscape painting with a modern feeling, the predominating colors subdued yet elegant grays and earth tones, signed rather illegibly with a European hand at lower right corner and dated there 53. The unframed work on canvas measures 23 1/2" by 31 1/2". Signature looks something like "Oltarini" or "Ott....." or "Ult....." but despite years of trying to figure this out I have not succeeded...

Christ Before the Pharisees. Rembrandt Lithograph (1636). 19th Century Impression. 21 x 17". Frame Size 32 x 28". Rembrandt created some 300 etchings and drypoints from about 1626 to 1665. His career as a printmaker ran parallel to his career as a painter—he rarely treated the same themes in both media and only occasionally did he reproduce his paintings in prints.

Oil on cotton canvas, unframed, 12" by 15 7/8", the scene female figures in a marketplace with their baskets of foodstuffs, signed at lower right center "Getro". This work likely dates to the 1980's or later and is representative of the colorful folk art works produced for tourists by the many talented artists in the country. Condition is good and with a standard 12 by 16 frame added, this would be ready for the wall...
