Entitled "Tsep Kachina Deer Dancer", the print is accompanied by a card reading "Kyrat Tuvahoema was born on the mesa of Old Oraibe in the heart of the Hopi country in 1914. He attended day school until he transferred to Albuquerque Indian School in 1927. He then attended the Santa Fe Indian School Art Department during 1933 to 1935...

Detailed antique watercolor drawing of a country villa in a park-like setting, an elegant horse-drawn carriage approaching from left, 6" by 9 3/8" (11 1/4" by 14 1/2" in modern day frame), signed at lower right "Herter" and dated there 1838. The villa seems to have Italian or other Mediterranean architectural characteristics, so perhaps we are in Italy, and the artist is a traveler from Germany. This is all speculation as I cannot locate an appropriate artist of this name...

A rare print by surrealist print maker Ozaku Seishi, professor emeritus from Tama Art University. He is best known for small edition prints, usually up to 30 copies, limitless experimentation with printing techniques and surrealist, often graphic imagery resembling distorted reality ¬neither quite explicit nor quite horror, but rendering a fairly dark version of dreams. This aquatint is from a 1974 portfolio titled “World of Children” (子どもの世界), which consisted of 30 aquatints...

This is a magnificent antique sculpture made of gold gilt bronze, dating back to around 1900 AD, which depicts a Portuguese knight named Saint Dom Nuno Alvares Pereira, also known as the Condestável (1360-1431). A nicely painted miniature portrait, on natural wafer, of a fashionably attired gentleman. The sitter is wearing a white shirt and stock, a black coat with velvet lapels, and a gray vest with black polka dots. Presented in a period, and possibly original, ebonized frame.

No cracks, chips, restoration or other condition issues. Sight size is 2 1/2" by 1 3/4", and the frame size is 4 3/8" by 3 3/8".

A small etching of one of the classic old buildings of America's oldest coastal cities, perhaps New Orleans or Charleston South Carolina, titled "Street Cart", numbered 91/150 and signed "Godzala" or similar. The etching measures 3 3/4" by 2 1/2" inside the mat and 10 1/4" by 8 1/4" in the silver metal frame. Condition is excellent. The piece likely dates to the 1990's through present. I do not see an obvious artist that would correspond with the name.

This early work, done November 1931, while Studying in New York with other ashcan School Artist……. Alfred McNamara was born in Tompkinsville, Staten Island and lived most of his life in Staten Island. He was heavily influenced by John Sloane, Edward Hopper, and others of the Ashcan School in the 1920's and 1930's. During the 1930's, he received his basic art training under Walter Drewes, through a program sponsored by the WPA (Works Projects Administration) at the Brooklyn Museum of Art. ...
