He received his B.A. from SMU where some of his art hangs today...

A watercolor of a lighthouse on the Maine coast, 9" by 13" (15" by 19" in wood frame), signed at lower right by artist Donna Sabaka (1946-). On the reverse is written "The Nubble Light"/York/Cape Neddick, Me.". The artist signed again there and wrote "Kennebunkport, Me. 1986". The lighthouse is in the extreme southern portion of Maine, in the heavily visited coastal strip of that state---a large tourist draw in summer...

Gouache on black paper, 11" by 17" (17 1/2" by 23 1/2" as framed), the subject a child-like angel in a nighttime winter landscape of fantasy, carrying a star staff, a doe like Bambi walking beside her. This was not easy to describe; best to just view the images! It is signed at lower right by artist HILDA GENTRY. I do not currently see a listing for this name, but do recall having seen something on the net about her at some time in the past...

The print (8 1/2" by 9 3/4" inside the mat, 15" by 20" as framed) is a very detailed etching typical of the meticulous style of the artist, renowned for his prolific printmaking. Popular and rare images by the artist, of New York City scenes, can sell for five figures. He traveled widely in Europe and architecture, especially Gothic architecture, especially revered by the artist, was a favored subject. This print is of a Gothic style building in Princeton, New Jersey...

A charming c1820 Austro-Hungarian portrait miniature of Crescence Gräfin von Seilern und Aspangan, an attractive young woman with blue eyes and a high style mass of dark brown curls. Wearing a white gown and fichu, pearl earrings and a thin gold chain necklace, she is posed against a multi-colored sky above green foliage and rolling gray hills in the background. Presented in a period ebonized frame.

The painting, on natural wafer, is in excellent condition, with no issues...

A portrait miniature beautifully painted on organic material. The sitter, M. Roland, is an attractive woman with flowing black hair, a white fichu over a white dress decorated with blue flowers, A wide pink sash completes her attire. This piece was based on the full length portrait of M. Roland done by Jules-Adolphe Goupil, titled "Le dernier Jour de Madame Roland" and shown in the third photo.

The painting is in excellent condition with no flaws or restoration...

Papua New Guinea Sculpture Sacred Totem measuring 30x15” in carved and polychrome wood circa 1970, Chief's Shield for bow of ship

This is an oil on canvas painting of a mounted cowboy in a forested mountain landscape, keeping an eye on several misbehaving steers. The work is signed at lower right by artist WESLEY LE ROY FULLER and is dated there 1993. His interesting cypher appears adjacent to the date. On the stretcher on the reverse the artist has signed again and added the comment "Good luck to the Elks purple pig"; and there also appears to be a price "$600" and title "Keep em out of the tember" (sic)...

A nicely painted and tranquil signed watercolour of a sailboat on a lake with islands and distant mountains c1920s. This 7-1/8" x 4-1/2" sight size picture is in what appears to be the original gilt and painted wood embossed 10-1/4" x 7-1/2" frame with a gold mat. It is signed L. Livingston (unidentified), and it is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, fading, tears, staining, foxing, losses, damage or repairs...

Wall-ready open edition modern color print from the Ethan Allan Home Collection, after the painting "The Parson's Cat", by the Dutch-born woman artist HENRIETTE RONNER-KNIP (1821-1909). The art measures 8 3/4" by 11 3/4" inside the double mat, and 19" by 21 1/2" as nicely framed. The artist's original oils regularly achieve the mid five figures at auctions, and a number have exceeded six figures...

This larger (19 3/4" by 36") work "GRAVITY -- Commission Ellwood Kieser" dates to the year 1973. The message, reading "gravity-like, He draws us lovingly into that deep dark center which is Himself. Ego dying. Soul reborning. Meaning revealing...

A small landscape painting on canvas, (actually a very nice size for a small wall, 12" by 16", and 15" by 19" framed), signed at lower right by listed artist ANTON GUTKNECHT (1907-1988). We see a dirt road winding around the edge of a wooded area, a European village and small church seen in the far distance. ¡°Hokkan ¨C Mountains, Seoul, Korea¡± was published 6 December, 1937. The carver was Maeda; the printer was Honda. It has Paul Jacoulet¡¯s pencil signature and red Tea Jar seal on the lower right corner. It has great color; margins and edges are slightly toned. It is in very good condition.
