This, like many of his research notes, was an addendum to his book, The Life and Works of Haku Maki, which he published in 2007. He wrote an Appendix to the book called Chasing Maki. Late 19th century alabaster statue of a lovely maiden. With her arms outstretched she studying a small bump on her finger. Probably Italian, condition is very good with some minor old dings expected with age, but most notable is a large chip on the back side of the base (see last photo). The price has been adjusted accordingly. Having a wonderful patina that only comes with time, this beauty measures about 18 inches high.
