A charming pastel portrait by Dorothy Colles which was commisioned for a "Trufood" advertizing poster. Dorothy Colles (1917-2003) was, according to an obituary in the Independent newspaper,"gifted in portraits of children". She has exhibited through the Royal Academy and the Royal Society of Portrait Painting. There is a water 'splash' above the head of the boy which we have not attempted to restore. Otherwise excellent condition. The picture 19.5 inches by 17.3 inches (49.5cm by 44cm)

A modern (circa 1950's), unframed, oil on canvas painting of two brutish, almost centaur-like men very apparently engaging in some sort of heavy conflict and struggle, signed lower left Ignon, measuring 27" by 33". The artist is GUI IGNON (1897-1963), not widely known today but a man who led a very interesting life and brushed elbows with the famous and intellectuals. Ignon was born in Caen, in Normandy, France...

A fine sterling silver sculpture of a Yatch in full sail featuring gold inlay bands on the sail. Titled "Yacth" by Japanese master artist Seki Takehiko, it is in excellent condition the sculpture measures 5.5" high. Arthur J.T. Briscoe 1873-1943 British This is a fine original etching by British marine artist Arthur Briscoe. The title is: The Main Brace, created and printed in 1929. The image measures 13 11/16X9 15/16 inches, printed on an antique wove type sheet. It is hand signed with pen and ink and also numbered 39/75. " This view of men hauling in on the brace while at the same time keeping their balance in the heeling ship as a spray sweeps over the weather rail."

An extremely fine depiction of an older woman, attributed to Charles Jagger, done in watercolor on natural wafer. Jagger was known to draw with a high degree of accuracy and talent, especially in the faces of his subjects, and that is certainly the case here. Also note the way the lace edges and the satin dress are highlighted. The condition of this 3 1/8" by 2 1/2" work is excellent, as is that of the period 5 1/4" by 4 5/8" wood frame.
