What fun this print is—a swirl of kanji virtually unreadable but a delight to the eye. 79-9 was done in 1979 and measures 9.25in W x 10.75in H. The print is in excellent condition.

Frame Size 36" x 28”…… Glenn Pizer American Master Artist is known for his visit colors in masterful compositions, and has been painting for over 30 years. He is originally from the Washington DC area. His work is modern and cubist in respect to his use of jagged lines reminiscent of Clifford Still.

In The Life and Works of Haku Maki I refer fairly briefly to his Big Reds and other large prints of the late 1960s and early 1970s. This is a watercolor signed at lower right by an unrecognized artist named "Andre" or "Audre", 11 1/2" by 8 1/2" (17 1/2" by 14 1/4" as framed), the subject a young girl in pigtails viewed from behind, playing a grand piano. The overall colors are a cool mix of white, black, silvery gray, and light blue, with pink accenting in her bow. The mat and silvery frame pick up the colors nicely...

Fine pencil drawing, possibly illustrator art, of a traditional old doorway in New England or elsewhere in the east, 10 1/2" by 7 1/2" inside the mat, 17" by 13 1/2" framed. There are a few listed artists by this name Don Browne (possibly "Browne"----there might be a fainter version underneath) but I don't believe this to be by one of them, though the work is competently executed. The drawing is in clean, fine condition.

Interesting contemporary work by artist MYRA AH CHEE (1931-), featuring not only the dot style that is most commonly seen in Australian aboriginal art, but also silhouetted or painted grubs, echidna, goanna lizards, ants, ticks---the insects and small animals of the central desert region. The artist was born in 1931 to a large family in Oodnadotta, but only within the last twenty years has she become active in producing art. She works in painting, linocut, batik, silk screen and pottery...

Original pencil figural drawing, 15" by 9" plus a gray mat, unframed, signed at lower right "K. Delaney" and dated there 1979. I do not know who the artist might have been but he or she certainly had a talent as a draftsperson. The condition is generally good save for modest paper browning and there is tape residue on the reverse from clumsy attachment to the mat. Fit a frame on this and you'll have a pleasant, nicely executed drawing.

DALE NICHOLS (1904-1995) is an American artist best known for his lyrical paintings of Midwest Heartland homesteads and farms in deep winter. These coveted paintings sell for mid to upper five figures at major New York auctions.
