Original offset lithograph poster for the Tate Gallery, London, 1980 exhibition "Travels with Pen, Pencil and Ink, Drawings and Prints 1961-1979". The exhibition took place from July 2 through August 3, 1980, when Hockney would have been in only his early forties. This poster is very clean and fresh, and attractively framed in brushed silvery metal. A gray soapstone carving of a blubbery walrus, measuring roughly 8" by 2" by 2". These carvings, which make great paperweights, sold as tourist art in northern, Arctic regions of Canada at mid century remain popular, and a secondary market has evolved. The artist has reduced the familiar animal to a stylized, modern form. Condition is good with no chips. See several other similar works in my shop.

NOT a print, this is an original drawing of Humpty Dumpty in ink and gouache. The work measures 10 1/4" by 7 1/2" and 17 1/4" by 15 1/4" as framed. The character of Humpty Dumpty dates to the 19th century , and the "anthropomorphic egg" character has become one of the most beloved and famous in all of nursery rhymedom. The piece was likely dated in the mid 20th century. It would make a wonderful addition to a child's room. Condition is excellent.

Original 19th century albumen photograph by Jean-Pascal Sebah (1872-1947) depicting the old Cairo and the island of Rhoda (the photograph is titled in the plate l.l "Vieux Caire et Ile de Rowdah"). Signed in the plate l.r. Jean-Pascal Sebah was the son of Pascal Sebah (1823-1886). He continued the family studio in 1888 in Constantinople. The studio specialized in scenes of Egypt and the Middle East.

A circa 1920's to 1940's old reprint of the much-loved classic Currier and Ives lithograph "American Winter Scenes", with a horse-drawn sleigh heading towards the snug home at right in which a party appears to be held. The piece measures 23 1/2" by 30 1/2" in what I believe is a birdseye maple frame. Condition is very good, vintage condition. The original 19th century lithograph is very expensive; this reasonable alternative will provide the same decorative punch.

This print Z-446B was one of a small number of creations that he put on hard, gold-edged board. Daniel Tretiak wrote that these prints “were printed first on very thin paper, which was then ‘wrapped’ around heavy shikishi board. They are lithographs not done from wood blocks. Done in 1999, this work measures 7.25in x 8.25in, is in excellent condition, and one of an edition of 77.
