Oil on canvasboard painting of a rocky cliff at the coast, 11 1/2" by 14 3/4" as framed, signed at lower right "K.B. GUNDERMAN". The impressionist work likely dates to about 1960. I do not see a listing for an artist by this name (there is a Karen Gunderman who works with ceramic and abstraction but this does not seem to be the same artist). The painting has forty-plus years of yellowed varnish and light soiling but is otherwise in good condition.

A small etching, 5 1/4" by 4" (13 1/2" by 10 1/2" in wood frame) featuring the famous familiar front view of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, the foreground including the famous bookstalls and a number of figures, signed in the plate (in reverse) "Slanska" and with penciled "Eau-fort original/Slanska" in the lower margin. For the last four years, I have researched every aspect of this self-portrait to confirm its artist identity!! Today, I can confirm the artist of this self-portrait, it is ROY FOX LICHTENSTEIN!! I was able to match the 1956 signature to the “rather primitive notion of patterned linear repetition”, or unknown markings (which look like Hebrew) on the side of an airplane in the RFL’s drawing “AIRPLANE 1961”. Similar markings can be found on the RFL’s TEN DOLLAR BILL 1956 Lithograph. ...

A vintage Chinese bronze Buddhist Bodhisattva in a serene pose holding an object in his hands. He is incised with scrolls and good luck symbols, crowned and bejeweled, sitting atop a lotus encircled base. The large size makes an imposing presence and companion.

Condition is generally good though tarnish, patina losses, and small damage exists at the back of the sculpture where it meets the base from which the sculpture is separate. My speculation is that treasure seekers removed the...

The plate measures 17 1/4" by 7 1/2 " (44cm by 19cm). The framed dimensions are 26" by 15". Appears to be in excellent condition. Pierre Courtin in one of the most important master engravers of the 20th century.
