Antique, 19th century, of superb quality, finely hand-painted on an organic wafer, miniature portrait of a lady wearing an elegant dress.

The painting is signed and illegibly dated (possibly 1889) at her right shoulder. Set under glass in the original oval brass frame adorned with a bow at the top.

The back of the frame is fitted with a hinged easel and is lined with green velvet.

This is a fine pencil drawing of a Victorian style wood home, 16" by 11 1/2" (24 3/4" by 18 3/4" framed), signed at lower right "David" and dated there '73. One is reminded of Edward Hopper's haunted, lonely dune houses or even the infamous back-lot Bates Motel house from the movie "Psycho" where Anthony Perkins did his thing. Condition is excellent. Found in San Francisco, the city where many treasured gingerbread houses of Victorian times still stand.

Oil on canvas landscape of an autumnal forest with small foreground lake or pond, a man in a boat, signed in red at lower right, difficult to decipher the signature, though the work bears an old export stamp and an old label from a Budapest, Hungary auction house. Watercolor painting of a mountain landscape in autumn, signed at lower left with what appears as "F. Renaud". A brook or stream occupies the right center. This is a nicely painted work, 4 5/8" by 6 1/2" inside the mat, 8 3/4" by 10 3/4" simply framed. The watercolor probably dates to the 1960's or 1970's. Photos were taken with the present cloudy non-glare glass removed. I suggest discarding it permanently in favor of regular glass. Ready to hang on the wall as-is, though.
