A striking miniature portrait, done in watercolor on natural material, by George Place. The subject, set against a clouded and blue background, is a handsome gray haired officer of light dragoons, dressed in uniform.

We bought this and another we are listing in the late 1990 in Los Angeles , the seller didn't remember the artist name but said the artist was an early Sci Fi artist . the painting is unsigned in good condition though could use a cleaning. Very well done one of my favorites. Size overall 17" by 21" sight 15" by 12" approximately.

This is a watercolor signed at lower right by an unrecognized artist named "Andre" or "Audre", 11 1/2" by 8 1/2" (17 1/2" by 14 1/4" as framed), the subject a young girl in pigtails viewed from behind, playing a grand piano. The overall colors are a cool mix of white, black, silvery gray, and light blue, with pink accenting in her bow. The mat and silvery frame pick up the colors nicely...

Impressionist American painting of a beautiful landscape in late spring or early summer, unframed, unsigned, contemporary, likely acrylic, on canvas laid down on a foamboard, measuring 20" by 24". The work is obviously by a trained and skilled hand. Condition is excellent; needs only a frame. This being a "standard" size at 20 by 24, a suitable, flattering, pre-made frame should be easy to locate.

The paper was laid on a board long ago. I think this dates to the 1940's or so; the hand was trained. Condition is excellent and this is ready for the wall.

Robert Sargent Austin 1895-1973 English This is a finely detailed line engraving by British artist Robert Sargen Austin. The title is: "The Pack Bridge, Aylestone, Leicestershire". The image measures 4 13/16X4 7/16 inches. It was created and printed in 1926 and appears in the Dodgson catalog as image number 65. It was printed in an edition of 60.
