A beautiful romantic genre scene of two young adult children one with a fishing rod done circa 1870. Unsigned oil on canvas, newer gold water gilded frame

Original acrylic on canvas by Herb Jackson (American, NC, born 1945). 30" by 22" canvas alone, 33 1/2" by 25 1/2" in its original gallery frame. This painting is signed, titled "Blue Gate" and dated 1987 verso. It also bears the original label from the Jerald Melberg Gallery in Charlotte NC. Herb Jackson is a well-known American abstract Expressionist. He had over 150 solo exhibitions in the US and abroad, and his work is represented in over 100 museums.

A miniature portrait of a handsome gentleman in a blue jacket with gold buttons. Presented in the original cast foliate case, the reverse having chessboard hairwork centered with "RD" initials in underlying gold topped with pearls.

Excellent condition with any apparent issues being due to my infamous photographic skills. The case size is 2 1/2" by 2".

By the hand of renowned American painter AUGUSTUS VINCENT TACK (1870-1949), this is a beautifully worked portrait of a dark-eyed young woman wearing a lovely blue-white lacy dress, nervously fingering her pearls. A nicely painted miniature portrait, on natural wafer, of a fashionably attired gentleman. The sitter is wearing a white shirt and stock, a black coat with velvet lapels, and a gray vest with black polka dots. Presented in a period, and possibly original, ebonized frame.

A fine portrait miniature painted by William Lewis. The sitter is an attractive gentleman in a black coat, white vest, stock, and shirt, the latter highlighted with a stick pin containing three rubies. It should be noted that the technique and facial structure of this painting is at a higher level than Lewis' works display (see Note 2 below).

It is embossed and in good condition.
