Oil on canvas still life painting, 16" by 20" and 22 1/2" by 26" framed, the subject several ceramic objects, including an oriental figure, an elephant, and a lustrous plate. The painting is signed at lower right "Elsie Crosam" or "Crosom", "Creson", or similar. The piece would be an excellent practice work for a budding restorer as there is a major rip in the center, as shown; or you might buff up the frame a bit and use it with another painting. There is light wear on it.

Watercolor painting of some age, 13" by 10 1/2" (22" by 18" framed), the subject simply a tree, but, that subject is handled very beautifully, and the work is signed at lower right by artist Paula Day (on whom I find no information). The interpretation of light and color belies the hand of a talented artist. Judging from the framing materials this dates no later than the mid 1960's and likely earlier. I recommend a new mat only; the frame can be retained.

For the Andrew Wyeth collector, a color collotype print "Arthur Cleveland", circa 1965, from a limited edition of only 100, **with INK SIGNED-by-the-artist label** affixed to the backing. Impressionist oil on wood panel painting of coastal islands and a religious shrine perched on a scenic rise, 13 3/4" by 16 3/4" as framed, signed in Greek at lower right. This work has some age, dating perhaps to mid-century. The surface is a bit soiled and the frame has some wear at top corners as seen. A Greek speaker has seen the signature and advises me it reads "Kaitatze" in English, or similar.

The image on the left was done in 1970 the other in 1971. The image at the left looks like 2 or 3 quick brush strokes. It is very delicate. It can mean clothing. The image at the right is heavy, many brush strokes, a complicated kanji. It can mean depression. It is Poem 71-14.
