Beautiful Persian Watercolor Painting measuring 19x16”

A wild crayon and pencil on paper drawing of bizarre abstracted forms that might be described as "organic", the drawing tacked at four corners to a larger board that is itself painted decoratively. The work, 22" by 18" framed, is signed with initials at lower right that could be "BK" and the date is "02". This was found in Southern California. The artist worked a lot of hours to produce this. Both drawing and gold frame are in very good condition.

American Artist Stepanova was a still life painter who painted in a modernist style. Russian born during the Soviet period and later moved to the United States studying art in New York. This work is oil on canvas measuring 24” x 20” and is framed.
