Wade Reynolds was a L.A. California artist well known for his striking nudes. His work was widely exhibited: Santa Barbara Museum of Art, Cleveland Museum of Art, Miami Institute of Fine Art, etc.

Thinking this was a work by the major artist Martin Johnson Heade, I sent images to Theodore Stebbins, the Heade expert, who said this was not the work of that artist. So, I offer it here as a decorative work of the nineteenth century...
