London, which gives the name of the artist, the title of the work, and the name of the purchaser in 1967. Crane Kalman Gallery handled the estate of the artist and held a number of exhibitions of his work, including a retrospective exhibition in 1967.

Glenn Pizer's colorful oils and gouaches began to take shape after years of study and wide-ranging travels. Pizer began his studies in Washington, D.C., with Robert D'Artista. He then moved to New York, where he studied briefly with Raphael Soyer. Becoming restless in the United States, he traveled to Mexico, where he studied at the Academia de Belles Artes in Guanajauto and the Art Institute in San Miguel de Allende.

A charcoal or soft pencil drawing of an unidentified young girl, executed circa 1950's, signed at lower right by the important New Hope School impressionist, JOHN FOLINSBEE (1892-1972). The work, 12" by 10" inside the mat, (19" by 17 1/2" in old frame with Trenton, NJ framer label on backing) is in excellent condition save for browning at edges from mat contact. Pencil drawing on paper, 4 1/4" square inside the mat, 9 1/4" by 9 1/4" as framed, signed at lower right "Luce", the subject an elderly man at left and elderly woman at right, both reading a letter or periodical. The paper is browned with age, though, evenly, and there's a small crown-shaped stain that looks like an ink blot, irregularly shaped, at lower right. The work is affixed to a board on which is written in old hand "No. 20"...

Crayon on paper drawing of red tulips in a glass vase, 14 3/4" by 10 3/4" (18 1/2" by 14" in simple wood strip frame), signed at lower right with monogram or conjoined initials, and dated there 4-5-83. Something about the work reminds of David Hockney, but this artist is unidentified. I believe it is of European origin but cannot be certain of that. There is some writing in pencil on the reverse, possibly in a foreign language, but it is hard to decipher...
